The following are crafts that can be done with 2 rubber bands:
1. Rubber band geometric modeling challenge-sensory integration
Use rubber bands to pull out geometric shapes. All you need is a peg board (either DIY or purchased) and a bunch of rubber bands.
Suitable age: 2-6 years old.
Difficulty: Easy.
Prepare materials: wooden board/carton board/cork nail board, thumbtacks/iron nails, rubber bands.
Make your own "geometric nail board" by directly nailing nails at equal distances on the board. Children put on rubber bands and pull them into different shapes. Young children can practice pulling, pulling, hooking and other movements. Older children can use their creativity to draw a rabbit or a car according to the teaching pictures. They can also practice numbers and words!
2. Creative painting
Can rubber bands also be used for painting? How to play it? Come and give it a try.
Suitable age: 3 years old and above.
Difficulty: Easy.
Prepare materials: rubber bands, construction paper, "washable" paint, paper plates/trays/boxes.
There are two main ways to play with paint with rubber bands. The first is to squeeze the paint onto the drawing paper and use the elasticity of the rubber band to spread the paint at will to form a mixed color work. The second method is to apply the paint directly on the rubber band, and then flick the rubber band with your hands to spray the paint at will. Its core focus is "Give children freedom and you will learn self-discipline."
3. Rubber Band Elastic Gun
Next, we will make a more complicated hand-made "rubber band elastic gun". This time we are going to use a tongue depressor instead of bamboo chopsticks because the tongue depressor can be painted more beautifully.
Suitable age: 4 years old and above.
Difficulty: Moderate.
Preparation materials: rubber bands, sticks x3, hot melt glue.
How to make a rubber band elastic gun?
1. Cut two of the boards at one-third, and cut the other small popsicle stick in half.
2. Glue half of the popsicle stick to the end of the tongue depressor, and cover it with the other tongue depressor.
3. Sandwich two popsicle sticks between them and secure them with rubber bands.
4. Finally, stick the tongue depressor (blue) you just took over to the tail end to serve as a handle.
