Why are Yongning Street’s admission scores getting higher year by year?

The admission points are based on the number of years one of the students’ parents has worked in the local area, the number of years in social security, etc., and will be updated every year.

The main point is to arrange admission based on rankings. If the full score is 100 points and there are only 100 places, if you score 95 and there are 100 people in front of you, then you will have no place.

1. Points-based enrollment refers to arranging migrant workers to enter households and their children to attend public schools based on points ranking, further promoting the equalization of public services. Points consist of three parts: basic points, additional points and deduction points. The basic sub-indicators include personal qualities, work experience and living situation.

2. Additional score indicators include ten items: basic personal information, urgently needed talents, patent innovation, awards and honors, charity, investment and taxation, family planning, health and epidemic prevention, registration management, and personal credit. The points deduction indicators include "illegal crimes" and "other illegal acts", requiring mobile workers to abide by the law and be honest and trustworthy.

In May 2013, the Dongguan Municipal Education Bureau stipulated that 35% of the public degrees provided in 2013 will be provided to the children of talents with preferential policies and corporate talents, which means that they can enroll directly without points.
