Most of the elevator tensioning devices are designed in the lower part outside the casing. The purpose of setting up the tensioning device is to ensure that the conveyor belt has sufficient tension to ensure that there is sufficient tension between the conveyor belt and the driving roller. It can generate the necessary friction to limit the sag problem of the conveyor belt between various supports. All in all, the most important purpose of setting up a tensioning device is to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
In addition to the most common spiral tensioning device, there are also falling weight tensioning devices. The spiral tensioning device fixes the roller bearing on the sliding plate of the spiral tensioning device, and the sliding plate is installed in the guide rail of the lower section. The skateboard is mainly equipped with an adjustment nut in the U-shaped steel plate, and rotates under the action of the adjustment screw on the lower section. This tightens the lower roller and moves it up and down along the lower section of the elevator to adjust the tension. The travel of the tensioner is just 20-30 cm.
The spiral tensioner is characterized by its compact and lightweight structure, simple installation and small footprint. However, due to the relatively small tensioning force and tensioning stroke, the tensioning device cannot be automatically adjusted. Since the stroke of the spiral tensioner is limited by the structure, constant tension cannot be automatically guaranteed. Therefore, this type of tensioning device is used on conveyors with short length and low power. The long journey selects one percent of the total length of the switchboard.
The falling weight tensioning device relies on its own gravity to achieve constant tension. Because its own weight is constant, it can ensure sufficient constant tension. This type of tensioning device is mostly used on large conveyors with large conveying power and long conveying length.
