What is the history of escalators in the world?

Two Americans studied escalators at the end of the nineteenth century. In 1897, Jesse W. Reno built a mobile game that used a sloping board to walk, similar to an escalator, at the amusement park in Coney Island, New York, USA. Charles Seeberger purchased a patent for the invention of an escalator in 1898, and cooperated with the Otis Elevator Company to create the first level steps in New York State in 1899. In 1910, Otis acquired Seeberg's patents, and the following year purchased Renault's company. In 1920, Otis combined the two designs and became the basic design of today's escalator.
