In the past 10 years, he has been mainly engaged in research on the gene structure and function of Plasmodium falciparum, Schistosoma japonicum and liver fluke and molecular vaccine research. In recent years, he has carried out research on helminth stem cells and has won national and provincial awards such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China. There are more than 30 ministerial-level science funds, with a total fund amount of nearly 6 million yuan.

The laboratory and the Molecular Protozoa Research Laboratory of the Teaching and Research Section of Parasitology carry out research work. Research directions include: ① vaccine research on infectious diseases, the current research focus is on vaccine research on schistosomiasis japonicum and vaccine research on respiratory infectious diseases; ② molecular diagnostic technology, the research focus is on molecular diagnostic technology on parasitic diseases and bacterial infections . The team currently has 3 professors, 1 associate professor, 2 lecturers and postdoctoral fellows, and 10 master's and doctoral candidates. The established technology platforms include: ① identification, cloning and bioinformatics technology analysis of new genes; ② recombinant expression, purification, immunology and biological identification technology of protein genes; ③ two-dimensional electrophoresis and mass spectrometry analysis of proteins, etc.; ④ tree Isolation, identification and related immunological techniques of dendritic cells (DC).
