The number of patents in Vietnam

Instead of causing huge losses, Vietnam insists on not using Huawei's 5G equipment, otherwise it will face serious problems.

It is reported that Vietnam is planning to become the first Southeast Asian country to build a 5G telecommunications infrastructure without Huawei equipment. As a result, the construction of the country's telecommunications network 5G will be delayed for several years.

According to foreign media reports, Vietnam Telecom, the largest mobile operator in Vietnam, announced that it will install Ericsson's 5G equipment in Hanoi and Nokia's 5G equipment in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, Vietnam will use chips from European and American manufacturers such as Qualcomm instead of Huawei's equipment and chips in network infrastructure construction. However, refusing Huawei to help develop 5G may make it face a serious problem-5G construction will be delayed for several years.

Huawei now has the most patents in the 5G field. Huawei has signed more than 50 contracts with other countries to build 5G network infrastructure, and has built more than150,000 5G base stations around the world. It is estimated that the number of base stations built by Huawei will increase to 500,000 by the end of this year.

So far, there is no unified 5G network standard in the world. Huawei has surpassed its rivals in the field of 5G introduction and has a great opportunity to become the maker of a new generation of network standards. Therefore, many countries, including Europe and Asia, are not in a hurry to exclude Huawei 5G, and are observing Huawei equipment.

Among them, European countries such as Britain and Spain are actively using Huawei's 5G equipment, and will decide whether to use Huawei's equipment to develop 5G networks in autumn. However, in Thailand, which is a Southeast Asian country with Vietnam, the development of 5G is very smooth. It is reported that Huawei recently signed a memorandum of understanding on 5G cooperation with Thai operators and successfully tested the first 5G international video call between China and Thailand. In view of Thailand's positive attitude towards Huawei's participation in 5G construction, Thailand may become the first country in Southeast Asia to successfully commercialize 5G networks. So will Vietnam regret it? what do you think?
