Thermal insulation materials for pipelines mainly include: rock wool, high temperature resistant glass wool, aluminum silicate, microporous calcium silicate, composite silicate, pipeline bracket, heat shrinkable tape, polyurethane composition, etc.
Requirements for thermal insulation materials:
Good thermal insulation performance. Thermal conductivity is the most important property of thermal insulation materials. As a thermal insulation material, the smaller the thermal conductivity, the better. The thermal conductivity of thermal insulation materials mainly depends on the size and distribution of bubbles or air layers contained in them, and has little to do with the solid properties of thermal insulation materials.
Good temperature resistance, stable performance and long-term use. Different thermal insulation materials have different temperature ranges.
The bulk density is small, generally should not exceed 600kg/m3. Small volume density, not only low thermal conductivity, but also can reduce the support of thermal insulation pipes.
It has certain mechanical strength and can meet the construction requirements. Generally, its compressive strength should be ≥0.3MPa.
Non-toxic and non-corrosive to metals.
Very low combustible and moisture content, easy to process and shape.
