Chen Qiang’s biography

In March 1994, he obtained a doctorate in pharmacy from the Department of Pharmacy, Tohoku University, majoring in pharmaceutical physical chemistry. Currently, he is a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor at Nankai University.

Personal study and work experience:

1980.09-1984.07 Bachelor of Science in Physical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Nankai University; 1988.04-1994.03 Pharmacy, Tohoku University, Japan majored in physical chemistry of pharmaceuticals, and obtained a master's degree in pharmacy and a doctorate in pharmacy;

1996.03-2001.04 Taught at the Graduate School of Pharmacy, Tohoku University, Japan and completed on-the-job postdoctoral research, becoming the first foreign teacher since the establishment of the Department of Pharmacy at Tohoku University;

2001.05- Now teaches at the School of Life Sciences of Nankai University and established the biosensor laboratory. He concurrently serves as deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Bioactive Materials of the Ministry of Education. He has established the field of new diagnostic materials, developed new analytical techniques for molecular interactions and molecular recognition, constructed new methods for research on the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine and the compatibility rules of prescriptions, functional microorganisms and their Interdisciplinary research in environmental protection, agricultural applications and other fields.

Bioelectroanalytical chemistry, biomedical sensing technology, traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology and drug analysis

Research results:

Achievements have been made in new nanomaterial photoelectrochemical technology, high-performance nanostructured immobilized enzyme electrode preparation technology, new analytical technology for intermolecular interactions and molecular recognition, and the construction of new methods for studying the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine and the compatibility rules of prescriptions. Remarkable results. He has published more than 80 papers in core journals at home and abroad, of which more than 40 have been included in SCI and EI. He has 6 authorized patents and 1 patent pending. He has presided over and shared more than ten scientific research projects from the National Natural Science Foundation, the "863" Program, the Ministry of Education, and Tianjin Municipality. His research results won the 1997 Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award Research A and the 2005 Tianjin Municipal Natural Science Second Prize (No. 2005ZR- 2-011-R1).

Postgraduate training:

Won the first prize of Nankai University’s “Dedication” Award in 2006. Two of the doctoral students he supervised were awarded the title of "Ten Outstanding Nankai University Students" in 2005 and 2006 respectively, and the graduate students he supervised have won the "Outstanding Master's Thesis of Nankai University" and "Outstanding Graduate of Nankai University" awards many times. Three courses are offered for graduate students: "Applications of Physical Chemistry in Living Systems" (Master's students), "Bioelectrochemistry" (Ph.D. students), and "Principles and Technology of Biosensors" (Ph.D. students).
