In 1959, mankind’s first industrial robot (programmable, circular coordinate) was born in the United States, ushering in the era of modern robot development. In 1962, the American AMF Company launched "VERSTRAN" and UNIMATE, which were the world's earliest practical models.

Robots were originally invented to handle radioactive materials instead of humans. Later, people used it to help complete large-scale and mechanized work that humans could not complete.
