Indications: clearing away lung heat and resolving phlegm, relieving cough and asthma. Compatible with almond, mulberry bark, loquat leaf and scutellaria root to treat cough due to lung heat, excessive phlegm and shortness of breath; Combined with Amygdalus Membranaceus, Burdock, Moxibustion Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, Almond and Glutinous Rice, it can treat cough and asthma caused by lung deficiency with internal heat, dry throat, less expectoration and blood in phlegm.
Usage and dosage: decocted in water, 3-9g. Or into the pill, powder, moxibustion clearing lung and relieving cough, and external fumigation should be used.
Note: Aristolochia is bitter and cold, so it is not suitable for excessive use. It is easy to cause deficiency cold, vomiting, asthma, cough and diarrhea due to spleen deficiency. It is prohibited. Use with caution for people with weak stomach and intestines.
2 loquat leaves taste meridian tropism: bitter, slightly cold, lung and stomach meridian.
【 Indications 】 Clearing lung-heat, relieving cough, lowering adverse flow and stopping vomiting. Combined with Radix Glehniae, Cortex Mori, Fructus Gardeniae, Coptidis Rhizoma, Cortex Phellodendri and Radix Glycyrrhizae moxibustion, it can moisten lung, clear away heat, relieve cough and asthma, and can be used for treating cough and asthma caused by lung heat, yellow and thick phlegm, and dry mouth and throat.
Usage and dosage: oral decoction 5 5- 10/0g, fresh15-30g. Wrap gauze and fry it, or boil it into paste, or put it into pills, powder and honey moxibustion to stop cough and vomiting, and ginger juice decoction to stop vomiting.
Gypsum has a taste of meridian tropism: pungent, sweet, cold, lung and stomach meridians.
Indications: clearing heat and purging fire, clearing lung-heat and relieving asthma. Combined with moxibustion with ephedra, almond and licorice, it is mainly used to treat shortness of breath, nasal confusion, asthma and cough, dry mouth and thirst.
Usage and dosage: decoct in water (15-60g), mash first and then decoct. Or made into pill, powder, appropriate amount for external use, calcined, sprayed or smeared.
Note: It should be used with caution for those with yang deficiency and cold syndrome, spleen and stomach weakness, blood deficiency and yin deficiency and internal heat.
4 Anemarrhena asphodeloides: bitter, sweet and cold. Enter lung, stomach and kidney meridians.
Indications: clearing lung and moistening dryness, nourishing yin and promoting fluid production, clearing heat and purging fire. Compatible with Fructus Trichosanthis, Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae, Arisaema cum bile, Scutellariae Radix, clearing away lung heat, resolving phlegm and relieving cough, and treating cough due to lung heat with yellow and sticky phlegm; For lung dryness due to yin deficiency, dry cough and burning charcoal, it is combined with Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae to nourish yin and moisten lung.
Usage and dosage: decoction, 6- 12g. Or take pills, disperse, generate heat and diarrhea, nourish yin and moisten dryness, and decoct salt water into kidney to nourish yin and reduce fire.
Precautions: Spleen and stomach deficiency fire and loose stool are prohibited.
