What about the State Intellectual Property Office? Salary

I have a friend who graduated with a master's degree in 2003. His salary is: a little more than 2k in the first year, a little more than 3k after becoming a full-time employee. Now it has been more than three years, a little more than 4k, the above is salary plus If you have a translator to do things like allowances and subsidies, you will get more pocket money. The advantage is that by purchasing affordable housing as a group, you can save a lot of money and have the opportunity to learn and enrich yourself.

General situation: The salary difference between civil servants before and after becoming a regular employee will not be too big. There is no grading before becoming a regular employee. There will generally be a basic salary, which is about 80% after becoming a regular employee. After grading, it will be based on level and position. , positions, etc. are determined. The total salary of these items does not add up to much, just a few hundred yuan. The salary of civil servants focuses on subsidies and the like. .

Reprinted: Treatment of the Patent Examination Collaboration Center (Examination Association) of the State Intellectual Property Office

Our unit and the Examination Association are brother units. I have been training with the Examination Association since August. Yes, the training of the review association is 4 months, but for us it may be 3 months.

During the training, I was very envious of the classmates in the trial association. I thought their work was quite interesting. They reviewed patent applications and could stamp their names on the cases after the review. They had such rights. It turns out that the Examination Association also has a patent classification department, and starting from this year, it will be placed under the China Patent Technology Development Corporation, so the people recruited this year must be for practical examination.

Let me talk about the 4 months of training first. There is no performance, only basic salary. I have seen the salary slip of a master's degree, which is about 2,5k, and the salary slip of a doctor is about 3k. Within a month of joining the company in August, they issued a very complete range of stationery, including a USB flash drive, a good blanket, about 200 yuan, and a cooling subsidy of 900 yuan. I don’t know if this is 2 months or 3 months. of. You basically don’t have to spend money to eat every day, because you can’t spend 10 yuan at noon, and you can also use it for breakfast. In the evening, as long as you check in after 6:30, there will be a working meal. Many people eat at 6 o'clock, then check in after eating, and then leave.

After the training, I started working on cases under the leadership of my instructor. It is said that an ordinary examiner must do more than 8 cases a month, with a performance of 500 per case. I don’t know the upper limit, maybe more than 12? Previously there was no upper limit. In other words, the performance guarantee is more than 4k per month, and the young teacher who teaches us roughly does 11 things a month (he also has to be a mentor to lead new colleagues, and there is a subsidy for this, I don’t know how much). In addition, after being graded after training, junior examiners will also receive subsidies and their basic salary will increase

In 2006, I joined the Examination Association. There were more than 70 people in our training class, most of whom came from Tsinghua, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, etc. I remember there were two others from Harbin Institute of Technology. Those from Beijing University of Technology and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications may have graduated early and were trained in the past. There are still two batches ahead of them, and there are many PhDs.

The work will be tiring. I don’t think this job is boring. I do deep processing of data, so this is boring. The treatment is not particularly good for the time being, but I usually give out quite a lot of stuff. There is a certain mobility of talent. I heard that last year, 7 or 8 of the more than 30 people in one term had left. They had received training from the Intellectual Property Office and it was very easy to pass the patent agent qualification exam. Some people had gone to big patent firms. Some sisters who are about to give birth to a baby have gone through classification in order to make it easier. The status is of course not as good as the actual review, but the treatment is about the same. I guess the patent development company will be hiring soon. Are they hiring for classification? But the number of recruits may not be as large as the review association.

The place of work is probably College International or Xue Zhixuan. In our Academy of Sciences, several people went to the Review Association in 2006. I know at least 4 of them. I feel quite envious. I regret why I recruited the Review Association last year. I didn’t take it to heart. After the training, I learned more about this part of the work. I wasn’t interested in it before, but now I have a strong interest.

In general, this is a rising industry, with little pressure, average salary, and a sense of accomplishment. Depending on your personal interests, you need to keep learning, such as studying law, Japanese or German. Who makes Japan and Germany second only to the United States in the number of patent applications every year?

But don’t worry, patent applications from foreign countries to China, according to the provisions of the Patent Law, should be represented by foreign-related patent agencies. They have been translated into Chinese, so they will not be translated like civil servants at the Intellectual Property Office (but other civil servants do Translation is for making extra money, and reviewers are not allowed to do so).
