The formula of soap

Handmade soap

Something made of handmade soap.

Make a bar of red wine soap yourself.

tool

Glass: used to stir raw materials. It is best to choose heat-resistant glassware, because it will heat up when making. Never use aluminum products.

Spoon: used to dissolve caustic soda, or it can be replaced by a blender. Aluminum products are also taboo.

Agitator: used to stir raw materials, which can be replaced by a large spoon to avoid aluminum products.

mould

Milk box, potato chip packaging, plastic box, etc.

50 ml of water

50 ml of red wine

Any brand-name product will do. Drinking the rest can also be used effectively.

250 grams of edible oil

Vegetable oils such as olive oil can also be used well. It's good for the skin.

Caustic soda 30g

You can buy it in a drugstore, because it is a toxic substance, and you need a letter of introduction from your company when you buy it. Be careful not to touch it directly with your hands.

Safety measures in production process

When caustic soda reacts with water, it will produce foam. When making soap, wear gloves, masks and glasses outdoors. Avoid using aluminum, copper, iron and polyethylene products, and use heat-resistant glass, plastic and stainless steel products to prevent caustic soda from deteriorating.

Production steps

1. Dissolve caustic soda with water, put water and caustic soda into a container, and stir until the water becomes transparent. It should be noted that foam and heat will be generated during the mixing process.

2. Add oil while stirring, and gradually add oil while stirring after the caustic soda is completely dissolved. Stir with a blender for about 10 minute.

3. Pour in red wine.

4. Continue to stir carefully, and continue to stir carefully for about 10 minute until the red wine is completely evenly distributed. At this time, the liquid began to thicken gradually.

5. Inject into the mold, stop stirring, and inject into the mold after two or three minutes.

6. Leave it intact 1~2 days, and put it in a warm place 1~2 days. At this time, the liquid produces a chemical reaction in the mold. Please don't touch it.

7. Take out the soap from the mold. Knives or scissors can be inserted into the mold and taken out smoothly.

8. Finally, cut into squares with appropriate size, put them in a ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight, and leave them for more than one month to complete the production.

Absolutely simple, absolutely safe.

Based on the rapid preparation method of ordinary soap powder, it can be completed in 4 days.

1. Preparation items: 100g soap powder, 70ml red wine.

2. Pour the red wine into the soap powder, and pour the red wine into a container filled with soap powder. Soap powder is fine. Be careful not to fly away.

3. Mix them carefully, just like clay mud, mix them carefully. The distribution of red wine should be even.

4. Pour it into the mold for 4 days, fill the mixed things into the mold and let it stand for 4 days. Be careful to fill it with porcelain, and don't mix it with air.

5. Take it out of the mold, cut the mold with a knife or scissors, and take out the soap. At this time, the soap should have a certain hardness.

6. Made of red wine soap and divided into convenient sizes. Red wine soap can be put into use immediately after it is produced.

Remarks:

* The above exercise is just an example, but as long as you learn the basic exercise, the rest of the changes will follow your personal preferences, and that's where the fun lies.

* Not only the above three kinds of vegetable oils, but also other oils (such as olive oil and sesame oil). ) has different effects.

* It can also be used to make environmentally friendly and pollution-free soap, which can be recycled.

* Base oil with excellent skin care effect is also widely used in the manufacture of soap.

* Do not use handmade soaps if they become strongly alkaline after completion. After five weeks, the PH will drop to around 9. The longer it is left, the lower the PH value will be to about 8. Under natural conditions, it is difficult to reduce the PH value to 7 (neutral), but they can be used with peace of mind because of weakness. Generally speaking, most commercially available soaps are weakly alkaline.

* Sodium hydroxide is a corrosive chemical, so gloves should be worn when using it to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. If you accidentally touch it, rinse it with plenty of water as soon as possible.

Make your own soap base:

Do-it-yourself soap base: We announced the formula for friends who want to master do-it-yourself soap base. If you are interested, please have a try.

Advantages: cultivate patience

Disadvantages: It takes time to find raw materials and formulas. After all the materials are found, it will take some time to stir. It will take two weeks (not necessarily successful) after it is finished. It is impossible to be as transparent as machine production on your own.

Personal homemade transparent soap-based practice: (

Representative oils used to make transparent soap base are palm oil and castor oil. Castor oil can set off the transparency of soap, and palm oil can harden soap. However, the process of manual production takes a lot of time, and the transparent soap blank made by machine can't be transparent, and its color is yellow.

Transparent soap-based formula:

150g water

73.5 grams of lye

250g palm oil

100g coconut oil

150g castor oil

Alcohol mixture:

195g alcohol

105g glycerol

75g sugar (with 50g warm water)

Raw materials for making transparent soap base:

1) Oil: Palm oil, coconut oil, castor oil or stearic acid is also called octadecanoic acid (it can be omitted).

2) Alkaline solution

3) Alcohol mixture: alcohol (ethanol), glycerol and sugar (can be omitted).

4) Pillar cooling treatment method

5) pot cover: to prevent evaporation of water and alcohol.

6) Stainless steel spoon

Production method:

1) Through cooling treatment, water, grease and lye are mixed at about 55℃ and stirred into mayonnaise.

2) Add glycerol and heat over medium heat.

3) heating until the soap base becomes gelatinous, and then stopping the fire. Add alcohol.

4) Cover the pan and heat it over medium heat. Check soap base from time to time. If it is solidified, lay it flat with a stainless steel spoon and stir it.

5) Add the mixture of sugar and water after about ten minutes.

6) heating with medium fire, and adding essential oil or other additives after the soap base forms syrup.

7) Remove any lumps and foams and put them into the model.

8) When the soap base hardens, cut it into the size you like.

9) air for 2-3 weeks.

Matters needing attention in making transparent soap base:

1) When making transparent soap base, there can be no oil residue, that is to say, lye can't be reduced.

2) In order to set off the transparency of soap base, it is necessary to measure the proportion of each raw material very accurately. For example, the ratio of alcohol mixture to soap base, too many soap bases will become opaque and ugly. If you put too much sugar or glycerin into the alcohol mixture, the soap will become soft and sticky. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the proportion of each raw material very accurately.

3) It takes two weeks for the newly made transparent soap base to evaporate water and alcohol. The evaporated water is more than the soap made by cooling treatment, which feels that the finished product will shrink.

4) Hand-made transparent soap base is softer than ordinary soap base, and it is easy to soften when it meets water.

5) When making transparent soap, you need to use alcohol. Alcohol is easy to happen, and it will be dangerous when it comes to fire. Please stop the ignition before adding alcohol.

Modern olive soap

Materials:

A

Beeswax 60 grams

Olive oil 370 grams

Palm oil 30g

B

60 grams of sodium hydroxide

Cold water 1 measuring cup (250ml)

Exercise:

1. Prepare the model container.

2. Dissolve sodium hydroxide in cold water, set aside and wait for the solution to cool to 50℃.

3. Heat Part A to 50℃.

4. Mix the heated Part A with sodium hydroxide solution, stir until the solution is viscous (about 10 minute), and then pour it into the model container.

5. Place the model container in an immovable place for about 24 hours, or until the solution solidifies.

6. Remove the mold and cut the soap, and put it in a cool and ventilated place for 6 weeks before use!

Aon's words:

For the busy life of modern people, it seems a bit extravagant to spend two days making grandma's olive soap. This recipe is specially designed for you who are busy, and it only takes 15 minutes to complete!

These two kinds of olive soaps are quite suitable for washing hair. Although the foam is not as much as the shampoo on the market and the foaming speed is not so fast, it is very good for the health of your scalp and hair! After washing, you can use ordinary conditioner or make your own natural conditioner. After long-term use, you will find that your scalp and hair have become firm!

Summer fruit flavor. ※

Materials:

Basic soap formula

Citrus fruits such as lemon and orange are 1~2, and if grapefruit is used, it is probably 1/2.

Citrus essential oil is about 10ml.

Exercise:

(Take lemon as an example)

1. Scrape the lemon peel into filaments with a scraper.

2. Cut the peeled lemon in half and juice it.

3. According to the basic soap making method, when the solution thickens, add lemon juice and stir well. At this point, the soap will start to change color. Don't worry, it's the acidity of lemon juice that makes it a natural dye. The faint orange is very cute!

4. Add lemon essential oil and lemon peel and stir well.

5. Pour it into a membrane mold and let it stand for 24-48 hours.

6. After the soap is solidified, remove the film and put it in a cool and ventilated place 1 month.

Aon's words:

The sweet and sour fruit fragrance is as pleasant as a glass of cold lemon juice or orange juice in summer. Fresh lemon juice is rich in vitamin C, which can adjust the PH value of soap and make it milder. In addition to the gentle exfoliation function, the peel can beautify the soap and make your soap look more lively.

You can use your favorite citrus fruits and essential oils, or you can mix different citrus fruits and essential oils. Aon strongly recommends lemon!

Honey cereal ※

Materials:

Soap line 500 grams

Water150ml

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp oatmeal (ground into fine particles or powder by a bean mill)

Exercise:

1. After heating in water, add the soap filaments and heat in water until the soap filaments are completely dissolved into paste.

2. Add honey and oatmeal, stir well, then put into the model, and cut into pieces after solidification.

P.S. This soap has moisturizing and exfoliating effects. Don't choose ready-to-eat or instant cereal, because its exfoliating effect is poor.

Basic soap making steps

STEP 1-source: self-made natural aromatic herbal soap, published by Chen, traditional color.

Decide the formula, prepare the required materials and tools, remember to wear rubber gloves, goggles and masks, and weigh the materials according to the formula (as shown in the figure). Remember, it is the weight, not the capacity.

Second step

In a ventilated place or outdoors, slowly pour water into a container filled with sodium hydroxide (as shown in the figure) and gently stir it to dissolve it evenly. When sodium hydroxide is dissolved in water, the temperature will be as high as near the boiling point, so be careful not to dissolve it with warm water or hot water. The container should be made of high-temperature resistant plastic or glass, and stainless steel can also be used.

Third step

Heat the grease with a small fire and measure the temperature while heating (as shown in the figure). When the oil approaches the temperature indicated in the formula, remove the oil pan from the fire and prepare to pour the sodium hydroxide solution reaching the formula temperature into the heated oil.

P.S. To adjust the temperature of sodium hydroxide solution, it can be heated by water-proof heating method, and the container containing sodium hydroxide solution can be put into the washbasin with cold water for cooling.

Fourth step

Carefully pick up the sodium hydroxide solution, slowly pour it into the oil pan, and stir it gently (as shown in the figure). Be careful not to let the sodium hydroxide solution overflow.

Step five

Continue stirring until the mixture thickens (as shown in the figure). Of course, you can leave for a while and have a rest while stirring. It won't affect you! In principle, stirring should be continued for the first 10 minute.

The stirring time of P.S. varies with the quality of oil, temperature and other conditions. Don't worry if the soap solution does not thicken after the reference time. Wait a minute. If the correct formula and steps are followed, the soap solution will gradually thicken. In principle, it should be stirred continuously for 15 minutes, and then every 10~ 15 minutes.

Step 6

Pour the viscous mixture into a container or model (as shown in the figure), and scrape the pot clean with a rubber scraper.

Step 7

Let the container stand for 24~48 hours. When the indoor temperature is low, wrap the container with a towel or blanket (as shown in the figure) to maintain the temperature required for saponification.

Step 8

Gently touch the soap with your hand. When the soap becomes as hard as cheese, you can prepare to demould it and take it out of the container. At this time, the soap has not been completely saponified, so you still need to wear gloves when touching the soap (pictured).

P.S. If your beloved soap sticks tightly to the mold, you can't pour it out. Don't be afraid! Use torture! Throw the model into the freezer, ice it for a while, and the soap will be released!

Step 9

Cut the soap into pieces and put it in a cool and ventilated place for about 1 to 2 months before using it. You can also choose not to cut it into pieces and cut it when necessary, but the soap will be hard, so be careful when cutting it. Soap can be stored with plastic wrap or paper after standing 1 to 2 months. Although plastic wrap is a good packaging material, breathable paper is more suitable for storing your precious soap than plastic wrap.

postscript

* Remember to clean and store the soap-making materials and tools separately from the kitchen utensils!

* When cleaning, you can rinse with detergent and hot water, or you can wait for a few days. When the remaining solution in the pot becomes soap, it can be washed directly by hand. At this time, you can also clean the rag by the way!

Handmade soap

Handmade soap with natural herbs has incomparable texture and natural decontamination. Basic materials of handmade soap-

Base oil+sodium hydroxide+water (distilled water)

For novice friends, the most nerve-racking thing is how to start. White's suggestion is to go to the bookstore first and buy a book worthy of reference. At present, there are many handmade soap books for reference.

With reference books, the next step is to decide the formula->

After determining the formula, we will purchase materials-oil, sodium hydroxide, distilled water (pure water can also be used)->;

Tools-electrical appliances to be eliminated in the kitchen at home can be given priority, such as a blender for snacks and a stainless steel pot (never use aluminum pot or aluminum tools to make soap! Sodium hydroxide will react with aluminum), and a thermometer; In addition, things that are relatively rare in general families are scales with small scales. The most important thing to make soap is the materials in the formula of the weighing scale. The error of 1-2 g will also have a considerable impact on a small amount of soap, so it is recommended to buy a scale with an error value not exceeding 1 g to use->

At the initial stage of production, the oil chart of the scale is used as an electronic scale.

According to the measurement in the formula, pour the oil into the pot respectively; When the oil in the formula is completely weighed, please heat it to 55 C. Please stir the oil while heating it. Sometimes the formula will contain fat as shown in the figure, so it is necessary to completely dissolve the fat in the pot.

Make lye-this is an important step in mixing hand sanitizer. Please remember that sodium hydroxide is a strong alkali, which is suitable for preparation in a ventilated place, and you need to wear a mask and gloves. When mixing alkali liquor, sodium hydroxide must be slowly poured into water while stirring. At first, the lye will be turbid, as shown on the left, and gradually become clear and transparent, as shown on the right. Glassware can be used in a small amount of production, and metal containers are recommended for mass production.

When the temperature of alkali liquor and oil drops to about 50℃, please pour the alkali liquor into the oil and start stirring with an electric stirrer, which saves time and effort. For beginners, it is suggested to stir quickly with an egg beater for 2 minutes, stop 1 minute, then continue, and so on until the soap in the pot is spoon-shaped.

You can add essence, pigment or vanilla. Stir to thick soup and pour into the model.

After pouring into the model, the soap solution will solidify in about 5- 10 minutes, and when the soap solution is about to form soap, there will be obvious saponification reaction, just like the dark part in the middle of the picture, also called jelly stage.

Please note that after the soap is poured into the model, cover it with a thick towel. The picture is taken in an open way, so that everyone can see the changes of soap during the molding process. Actually, it's covered.

After standing for 24-48 hours, the soap can be taken out of the model and sliced in a ventilated place. After four weeks, the pH value was measured. If the pH value is lower than 9, you can use it safely.

How to make handmade soap, and share with you.

There are many ways to make handmade soap, which can be roughly divided into four categories: CP (cold method), HP (hot method), Rebatch (copying, some people call it MP), MP (melting &: pouring method, some people divide it into M& and M&, then M& refers to Rebatch and M& refers to transparent soap.

Briefly introduce my working environment:

On the far right is the gas stove. I usually use a gas stove to heat soap base from water. On the right is the flow chart, soap-based cutting and additive addition. On the left is the workbench. Because the workbench is higher than the flow table, the soap base is sometimes cut here, and because the workbench is flat than the flow table, the soap base is usually poured into the mold here. Before making soap, you can spread the newspaper on the work area (flow counter and workbench), then wrap the garbage in newspaper and throw it away after making soap, saving cleaning time. However, I don't usually spread newspapers. First, I don't order newspapers at home. Second, if soap drips, it is still soap after condensation, and it is not difficult to clean it, so I don't spread newspapers. You can decide whether to lay paper according to your own needs.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

Start making soap! The steps are as follows:

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

1. Cut soap base.

Take out the soap base, visually measure the amount of soap to be made, and cut it with a knife at a suitable place. Then the cut soap base is cut into small pieces with any shape, such as cutting into pieces, strips, shredding, etc. The purpose of cutting small is to accelerate melting, so the smaller the cutting, the faster the melting speed. No matter how you cut it, it is recommended that each piece be the same size, so that some soap base will not overheat and the other part will not melt when heated.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

2. Heat to melt the soap base.

Transparent soap base around 45. Above c, it will begin to melt. Generally, it is melted by waterproof heating or microwave heating. The purpose of waterproof heating is to prevent soap-based burning. If you want to heat directly, be sure to turn down the fire, so as to avoid burns at any time! When heating from water, only a small fire is needed, and the water temperature does not need to be too high. If you see water bubbling or even boiling, it means that the water temperature is too high. Turn down the fire or turn it off temporarily. Try not to stir the soap solution when heating, otherwise many unnecessary bubbles will be generated. If you use color blocks or titanium dioxide (titanium dioxide), you should heat it at the same time as the soap base. As for how much to add, it depends on personal preference and experience (generally speaking, just a little).

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

Soap base melts! This time I melted both transparent soap base and white soap base. The bubbles produced when transparent soap base melts are related to soap base manufacturers, whether the heating time is too long and whether it is stirred when heating. Bubbles do not affect the quality of finished products, but only affect the appearance or spend more time decorating. The water in the washbasin turned white because a soap base fell into the water. After the soap base melts in water, the water turns white. If the soap base in the water is picked up and put back in a small steel cup, the soap base in the whole steel cup will be mixed with water, which will reduce the transparency, so don't pick up the soap base in the water.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

3. Add additives. When making functional soap, it is often necessary to add additives, which can be added to the soap solution at this time. Because the soap made this time is the basic practice, this step is omitted and will be explained later when writing functional soap.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

4. Color matching.

I use colored liquid to mix colors. The concentration of color solution is very high, and it is enough to add one drop at a time. Stir well. If the color is not dark enough, add another drop. Don't squeeze many drops at a time. This will make the color too dark. Once the color is too dark, you can only use a lot of soap base to brighten it. Common color schemes are red, yellow and blue, from which other colors can be derived, such as: red+yellow → orange, yellow+blue → green, blue+red → purple. In addition, light blue is difficult to adjust, because the soap base is slightly yellow, even if only a little blue liquid is added, it still looks a little blue-green. If the transparent soap base you bought is transparent and doesn't feel yellow at all, then your soap base may be made of surfactant, not pure soap. If the color block is used for color matching, the color matching is completed when the soap base melts. If you want to make colorless or white soap, you don't need coloring liquid, and this step can be omitted.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

5. Adjust the fragrance.

The taste of soap is usually produced by adding essence or essential oil. Essential oils are more expensive, and the taste disappears faster. Some essential oils will taste bad after adding soap, but they are effective. The essence is cheaper and has a lasting taste, but it has no curative effect. If the temperature of soap solution is still high when perfuming, be sure to wait until the temperature drops a little before dropping essential oil or essence, especially for people who use essential oil. Because essential oil volatilizes quickly at high temperature, it is likely to be a waste to drip essential oil at high temperature of soap solution. Some essential oils or essences will slightly change the color of soap liquid after adding it. You can use this step to switch to the previous step, and then adjust the color after adjusting the fragrance. The amount of essence or essential oil added is about 0.5% ~ 2% of the soap solution, and the soap solution in half a small steel cup is about 100CC, so 10 ~ 40 drops of essence or essential oil can be added (1CC is about 20 drops). The amount of essence or essential oil dripped varies according to the type and personal preference. Add more if you like strong ones, and less if you like light ones. Generally speaking, these scents will not remain on your skin after bathing. If you want to make natural and tasteless soap, this step can be omitted. Soap soap with sensitive skin is advised not to add essence, and it is best not to add pigment, because these things will bring certain irritation to the skin.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

6. enter the mold.

Pour the color solution with adjusted color and taste into the mold until it is about 89% full or the required height. If it is too full, it is not easy to demould. The mould must be cleaned and dried in advance. This mold on the left is left after eating jelly, and this one on the right is a pudding box.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

After pouring the soap, you can put these soaps aside and let them cool. After about 1 hour, these soaps will solidify, and then they can be packaged or used directly after demoulding. If you want these soaps to solidify quickly, you can put them in the refrigerator or freeze them, and they will solidify in about 15 minutes to half an hour. Using the gap of solidification time, equipment and environment can be cleaned! Small steel cups and stirring rods can be preliminarily washed with warm water in the water pan, which accelerates the melting of soap and soap and makes it easier to wash!

Psalm 1 and 2 use pudding boxes, 3 use hibiscus tofu boxes, 4 use jelly molds, 5 use jelly boxes, and 6 use special molds for soap.

Oic www.myoic.com creativity club

7. demoulding.

After the soap is completely solidified, it can be demoulded. I cut off the top half of this pudding box and left the flower-shaped part in the bottom half. When demoulding, the first step is to pull the die aside and let air enter between the soap and the die and all the edges.
