Introduction to laser scalpel

Using the characteristics of highly concentrated laser energy and using it as a surgical "knife" for surgical operations, it is unique. The commonly used carbon dioxide laser "knife", the blade is the focus where the laser beam is concentrated. The focus can be as small as 0.1 mm, and the power density at the focus reaches 100,000 watts per square centimeter. Wherever such a light "knife" touches, whether it is skin, muscles, or bones, it will be easily solved. One of the outstanding advantages of the laser "knife" is that it is very light. There is no mechanical impact when using it for surgery; after using a 50-watt laser "knife", the speed of incising the skin is about 10 cm per second, and the depth of the incision is about 1 mm, which is similar to that of an ordinary scalpel.
