On March 25, 2021, the Alumni Association website released the Alumni Association’s 2021 Chinese University Rankings. Wuhan University of Science and Technology ranked 89th, ranking first among universities in Hubei Province, 11 places higher than last year.
The Alumni Association’s 2021 Chinese University Major Scientific and Technological Achievements Ranking and Evaluation System consists of National Science and Technology Awards, China’s Top Ten Science and Technology Progress Awards, China’s Top Ten Science and Technology Progress Awards, China’s Top Ten Science and Technology Progress Awards of Universities, and China Patent Awards ( It consists of 7 indicators including Invention Patent), China Invention and Entrepreneurship Achievement Award, and China Standard Innovation Contribution Award. It is a core indicator that measures the comprehensive development strength, scientific and technological contribution capabilities and research level of Chinese universities since 2000. Among them, the 2020 National Science and Technology Awards data are the preliminary evaluation results of the 2020 National Science and Technology Awards.
