Southeast University, whose predecessor can be traced back to Sanjiang Normal College founded in 192, has gone through the running periods of National Southeast University, National Fourth Sun Yat-sen University, Jiangsu University, National Central University Engineering College, National Nanjing University Engineering College and Nanjing University Engineering College.
It is located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, directly under the Ministry of Education of China, and was built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province. It belongs to the national "double-first-class" construction university and the "985 Project" and "211 Project" key construction university. The school has been selected as one of the "211 Plan", "111 Plan", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan", "National Innovative Entrepreneurship Training Plan" and the national model university for deepening the innovation and entrepreneurship education reform.
