Overview of Turkish design patents?

Turkey promulgated the first patent law in 1879, and became one of the early countries with intellectual property laws. However, it was not until the establishment of the Turkish Patent Office (TPI) in 1994 that Turkey's patent legal system was further standardized, and in 1995, a series of patent laws (according to the announcement of the Turkish government No.551,replacing the original patent law), trademark laws, regulations on the protection of industrial designs, and copyright laws were successively promulgated.

Turkey became a member of the European Patent Convention in 2000. In addition, Turkey is a party to Paris Convention and PCT Patent Cooperation Treaty, so foreign enterprises and individuals can apply for patents in Turkey through Paris Convention and PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty).
