He may indeed have a patent, but it doesn't mean anything. There are many patents in the world. The Chinese Patent Office accepts more than 400,000 patents and authorizes more than 200,000 patents a year. So much for one year! How much is it altogether? In fact, about 90% of the patents in China will not be put into production.
Moreover, there is no "substantive examination" for "utility model" patents, and the examination conditions are very relaxed. This patent may have been owned by others, or it may not even be produced at all.
Even if they do have this technology, it is unknown whether this technology is practical, whether it can make money and whether it has production conditions. Whether the patent examination in the patent office can produce, not to mention whether it can produce economic benefits.
This kind of thing must be cautious, especially for companies that promote "patented technology".
