Fang Zhouzi responded to Tang Jun’s academic certificate, saying that Pacific Western University, where Tang Jun studied, is a well-known pheasant university that sells diplomas. Tang Jun refuted Fang Zhouzi's suggestion that the school he attended was "Pacific Western University in California", not "Pacific Western University in Hawaii" as Fang Zhouzi said.

Tang Jun said that he would prosecute Fang Zhouzi, the instigator of the incident, in both China and the United States, but he did not disclose the specific time.
