How to calculate the solubility of hydrogen in hydrocarbons

In order to reduce the emission of harmful substances and improve air quality, many countries have reduced the sulfur content in diesel oil to ultra-low levels. Liquid phase circulating hydrogenation technology is a new technology for ultra-deep desulfurization of diesel oil. Its advantage is that it relies on hydrogen dissolved in oil or solvent to participate in the hydrogenation reaction of raw materials. In this process, the solubility of hydrogen in diesel oil plays a key role. In this paper, the solubility of hydrogen in different types of diesel oil was studied by experimental measurement and Aspen Plus simulation. Under the experimental conditions of temperature 323~623 K and pressure 2 ~ 10 MPa, the solubility data and dissolution law of hydrogen in different types of diesel oil were obtained respectively. Under the experimental conditions, the solubility of hydrogen in 0# diesel oil, straight-run diesel oil, coking diesel oil and catalytic diesel oil is as follows: 0# diesel oil straight-run diesel oil coking diesel oil catalytic diesel oil; The dissolution law of hydrogen in diesel oil increases with the increase of temperature and pressure. The research results can provide a basis for determining the operating parameters of diesel oil liquid phase circulating hydrogenation process.
