when considering the space for such an owner, the designer is faced with an old house built in 1897, which is not much smaller than the owner. Therefore, a new division of space is necessary:
First of all, the designer focuses on the transformation of leisure and work areas, and must meet the needs of two owners to work at home. Basically, the dining area can be weakened here, because the owners don't cook and eat at home many times. Finally, the designer should help the owner to expand the comfort and convenience of the bathroom and move the recharge card.
In the interior decoration, designers use more dark black and white as the keynote of the whole house: the black glazed metal tiles in the dining room, the black imitation steel floor in the living room, and the white real stone paint on all the walls, which makes the background contrast strongly between black and white with rich visual changes.
considering the practicality of this case, in the overall color matching, the designer used red as an embellishment color, which made all the cold spaces full of vitality. White furniture and white walls blend together, making the original narrow space spacious because of neatness.
The choice of classical tracery wallpaper in the bedroom "softens" the rest space under the condition of the same overall style. The revolving doors in the living room and bedroom increase the interest of the whole space.

This small apartment with an area of only 45 square meters belongs to a girl engaged in jewelry design-Dandan. When fully communicating with designers, she finally set the theme style of space on the bright and quiet Mediterranean style. (Figure 1) Because of his busy work, Dandan "threatened": As long as the house looks good, I can accept it, and I don't have to bother with the construction process, whatever it is!
That being said, however, designers dare not slack off at all. After fully understanding Dandan's needs, how many overall design guidelines have been set for this small space:
1. Because the house itself is not big, all functional partitions are essential. The designer didn't divide the space rigidly, but let all the partitions "get along" in a big space; (Figure 2)
2. The designer chose the Mediterranean style with white as the keynote. The pure white space visual impression makes the space more spacious, while some colorful treatments make the functional division of the space more clear, and also make the visual feeling more abundant and delicate; (Figure 3)
3. In order to make the space more soft and comfortable, the designer adopted the curve design in many parts. These ubiquitous soft curves are more in line with the identity and use needs of the hostess; (Figure 4)
Under the designer's 3-point overall planning, Dandan's home is like a delicate drama sketch, and every corner is carefully matched and arranged by the designer and the owner. Although Dandan's home space is not big, there are also many scenery. The setting of changing scenery makes people feel that the space is not narrow.
In the center of the whole space, there is a platform that can also serve as a sofa, a workshop, a book kitchen and entertainment. The designer made a special design above the ground, which made this partition more important. (fig. 5, fig. 6)
In addition, in order to separate functional partitions and preserve certain privacy, designers set up many curtains and gauze curtains in the space. Elegant fabric products not only leave various functional partitions, but also add space. The gentle smell of women. (Figure 7)
Finally, it is worth mentioning that because Dandan doesn't like to waste his leisure time watching TV, the designer basically doesn't specially design the common TV background wall, but hangs a small LCD TV in a corner of the space.

The owner Mimi and Xiao Chou completely overthrew our sense of home, and their small home was set up purely for the young couple's own life. Hospitality and lodging are all neglected, and closing the door is a space for pure self. In their own words, it is: a world of two people, only for two people. Under this demand, the designer created a space for the two owners that only belongs to them. (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4)
Private bathroom
Mimi, the hostess, likes to take a bath, and she likes to change the level of bath salt according to her mood every day. It seems that the days are not over without taking a bath for a day. I can't get rid of my fatigue and my mood is not light. The original room bathroom is only a small 3 square meters, only enough for a shower. When building this home, the first factor is to satisfy Mimi's request to take a bath every day.
The bathroom should be large and comfortable, so that the other mouth can take a bath when taking a bath. The original bathroom space must be expanded. Together with the designer, the young couple separated the three functions of toilet, bathing and washing into three spaces independently, and the original small bathroom was shrunk again and became a separate toilet. The washstand adopts a fashionable external way, so that the mirror and the care products will not be infiltrated by water vapor; Shower and bath are integrated into one space, which fully ensures the comfort and purity of each function.
In the world between two people, you don't have to consider shielding. Why not choose an open bathroom? The young couple agree on this point: ugly is beautiful, avant-garde is avant-garde, but it is not convenient and hygienic, especially for a madman who takes a bath at home. Therefore, the glass enclosure is used in the small space, and the translucent roman blinds in the bathtub can be collected and put away, more for the sake of increasing interest than private consideration. There is a lot of room for hidden objects
Small houses should realize many functions, such as bedroom, study, bath, kitchen, studio, audio-visual leisure, etc. It's really hard to think about how to use space for storage to the maximum extent. In addition to using the TV theme wall, Mimi has also opened up two other good places.
First, next to the bathroom and sink, the door is sealed with a space similar to the corridor. The width of one meter is used to place the clothes and shoes of the season, and the wardrobe is opposite to a mirror. The small cloakroom is separated from the bathroom by a glass door, which will not let water vapor penetrate. The second is to use the place where the mattress is placed at home. In order to save space, they didn't use a bed, but adopted a single mattress on a 4-cm platform similar to collapsed rice. The platform was concave, the concave one was used to place the sofa, and the protruding wings were large drawers that could be pulled out, making it very convenient to put books, sundries, DVDs or snacks.

Mimi's bed is 4 cm high. A long desk is set at the window side of the bed. You can surf the Internet comfortably by moving the prepaid card and putting a cushion on the bed. The other side of the desk is under the bed, and you can write comfortably on the desk by sitting on a chair of ordinary height. When I first saw it, I really couldn't help but marvel at this design, which not only saves space, but also allows the owner to use it with his favorite posture. (Figure 9)
Such details can be seen everywhere in small homes. There is a partition hanging on the wall on the left hand side when you enter the door. You can put it away at any time when you need to sign for express mail or put an umbrella in rainy days. The hostess also likes to collect vegetables on it as a regular dining table. Mimi put a high bar chair beside her. It seems that it is also a good place to have a drink by herself once in a while.
after the glass enclosure is used in the bathroom, the corners are abrupt and sharp. Mimi made a small rounded table with wooden boards along the edge, which was not too big or too small for two people to eat at ordinary times. Whenever it comes to this design, the hostess is always very proud (fig. 1)
And the range hood is also her favorite choice. Mimi's family didn't lay easy-to-clean tiles alone in the kitchen, but only laid a thread carpet on the wooden floor to block dirt; When she occasionally shows her hands, her selected super suction hood will be of great use, which can basically achieve the effect of impermeability. Although the price is a little expensive, it is really a simple and easy choice to trust those who love cooking and are not willing to sleep in the smell of vegetable oil.
Private has shelter and fun
Mimi's room is rectangular, and only one big window can light it. As soon as you enter the door, you will directly see the opposite window, and the rest and leisure area will be unobstructed. Although two people don't have to be evasive, but getting straight to the point is inevitably less aesthetic.
Adding a broken column next to the platform of the sofa position has become their treasure to create a winding and secluded atmosphere at home. It not only separates the rest and leisure areas, but also puts the flat shape on the shelf to become another display space; With this pillar, Fangzheng's small house has a grade, and the gauze curtain that separates the rest and leisure areas has an extended attachment.

At present, many young people who are planning to get married are turning their eyes to absolutely cheap second-hand houses because of the high price of commercial housing. However, due to the old-fashioned construction, many second-hand houses are not only small in size, but also very different in layout.
This set of cases is an obvious example: the interior area of the set is only 29 square meters, and all of them are load-bearing walls except the sanitary distance wall, so there is no way to change the format.
The new owner of this house is a couple of young people who are about to get married, and this house will also be used as a wedding room. In addition to satisfying the basic use function, the owner also hopes to use the decoration to reflect the style of "youth without losing joy, conciseness without losing warmth".
Because the usable area is very small, the designer, after fully communicating with the owner, first considers how to lay out the space pattern. The designer's overall idea is to make each functional area "borrow" space from each other as much as possible, and not to do any substantive function slaughter. To this end, the designer has made three tricks:
First, the designer knocked out a door with a window and the wall under the window, and made an arc-shaped dumb mouth by using part of the load-bearing wall next to the window and the concrete beam above it, so that the dining room and the living room persisted. (Figure 3)
Second, the designer removed the doors and windows of the original balcony, effectively applied the area of the balcony, and made it an organic part of the indoor space, using an outdoor anticorrosive wood to make a small leisure area with a platform for identification; (Figure 4)
Thirdly, between the living room and the bedroom, the designer dominates a semi-transparent isolation, which is used to distinguish the functional divisions of the living room and the bedroom, and at the same time ensures that the bedroom has certain privacy; (fig. 5)
In the interior design of small space residence, storage space is essential and the most difficult to arrange. In order to make full use of the space and make the small space more tidy, the designer plans a set of grand lockers on one side of the bedroom, living room and dining room to meet the storage needs of the owners. (Figure 6) The designer is still on one side of the wardrobe, making a small work area with panel furniture, and the outside is a sliding door similar to the wardrobe door. When the owner does not use the desk, he can close the sliding door to hide the work area and keep the room tidy. (Figure 7)
Many people think that designers don't need to make a fuss about style in a small space: there is not enough space, where can we find a place to embody style?
Actually, this idea is not entirely true. In dealing with this apartment, the designer combined with the owner's requirements and skillfully integrated some Southeast Asian decorative style elements into this small apartment: the widely used teak color makes the space look extremely quiet and unique. Local animal wallpaper also adds a lot of color to the space.
