First of all, we have to understand a meaning, that is, the so-called innovation, what is the meaning of owning intellectual property rights. According to international understanding, a product has its core technology and its technical protection. After you introduced it, did you use other people's technology or innovate others' technology? It depends on how much content you have after you break through its technology. Generally speaking, on the basis of it, if your own technical content exceeds 15%, you will get new intellectual property rights. For example, I make a very simple analogy, building a wheel. Experts say this is the first and most important invention of mankind, because there are no wheels in nature. We use fire only because we have learned to use it, because there was fire in nature before people had it. But wheels don't have wheels in nature, so the first person to make wheels is an invention. But the second man dug several circles on the big wooden board to make the wheel lighter, which is a new intellectual property right; We put a piece of iron on the wheel to make it more durable, which is a new technology; We change it into rubber to make it more elastic, which is another technology; This is a new technology. I weave this rubber into texture to make it have better grip on the ground.
We did absorb the advanced high-speed rail technology from other countries, but we built our own system technology integration platform on this technology platform, and then made innovations on this basis. We introduced the EMU in the sixth speed increase. At that time, we had obtained at least 26 innovative projects with independent intellectual property rights. After the completion of Beijing-Tianjin inter-city special lines, including Hefei and Shitai, we have approved more than 900 intellectual property projects declared to China National Intellectual Property Administration. In June 2008, we also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China National Intellectual Property Administration on railway intellectual property protection in China. At present, Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway has declared 926 intellectual property protection projects to the State Patent Office.
