Why does NdFeB sinter?

NdFeB was invented in 1983. Sumitomo Metal invented the formula and sintering patent, while American GM invented the formula and rapid quenching hot extrusion process.

It is very important to form coercivity whether the grain orientation of magnets is consistent (that is, only remanence Br). Coercive force is related to the microstructure and grain size of grain boundary distribution.

After cooling and curing and applying a strong magnetic field to the material in a local temperature range, the magnetic orientation of the internal molecular grains is always the same. That's what AlNiCo did. Induced anisotropy can be obtained by magnetic field treatment at solution temperature.
