What should I pay attention to when buying wooden floors?

First, when buying floors, you should be very careful when buying colored floors.

There are many colored floors on the market now. In order to win customers, many merchants started a price war, and then gradually tampered with the quality of the floor. Many unscrupulous manufacturers use B-class boards as A-class boards because B-class boards have defects such as bugs, double colors and white edges. In order to cover up, they painted the boards, and some even painted the notches and the back. The color difference of this floor is very small, and the boards are beautiful. However, the colored floor is prone to crack and paint explosion after laying. (except the old floor made of hand-made antique). There are also some manufacturers who deliberately confuse product grades. The classification standards of floors stipulated by the state are: excellent products, first-class products and qualified products. Some dealers call their inferior floors secondary boards, deliberately deceiving consumers. Some people use "imported wood floors" to mislead consumers. In fact, there are very few real imported wooden floors on the market, and basically they all have environmental protection certification certificates. What they say about imported wooden floors mostly means that the floor blank is imported, while the wood is processed in China.

Second, pay attention to the difference of paint on the floor when buying.

At present, there are two kinds of coatings on the floor market: PU coatings and UV coatings. When buying a floor, you must not buy a PU painted floor, because it has high benzene and formaldehyde emission, is not environmentally friendly and has a short paint life. There are two kinds of UV paint: one is ordinary bright flow coating UV paint, and the other is ultra-wear-resistant roller coating UV paint. Flow coating of UV paint requires frequent waxing, and the service life of paint surface is generally about two years. Roller coating UV paint has a matte effect, and the surface is generally pitted. Because aluminum oxide is added to the paint, its paint has super wear resistance. When we buy, we must first learn to distinguish between ordinary roller coating and super wear-resistant paint.

Third, when buying a floor, you must carefully check the thickness and notch.

According to the standard, the thickness of the floor should be 18 mm, but many floors in the market are only17.5 mm. Most of these floors are slabs with insufficient thickness or compliant plates, and most of them are not dry well or have not solved the stress problem. Such a floor is prone to arching after being paved. The length of the notch in the floor is easy to cut corners. Because the floor space is calculated by the width and length of the plate, the shorter the notch made by the manufacturer, the wider the plate will be, thus saving a lot of materials. However, although the notch of this floor is short, it is easy to make noise and squeak when walking on it because of poor occlusion. The national standard for the notch of the floor is 3.5 ~ 4 mm You can measure it first when you buy it. If you can't measure it, you can put the two boards together and hang them at an angle of 45 degrees to see if the other board will fall off. If it is dropped, the length of the gap is not enough.

Fourth, when buying floors, don't buy fake foreign brands easily.

At present, many floor manufacturers only register one brand, and then find different manufacturers to process products and package their own brands, so the quality of the floor will be good or bad. Therefore, to buy a floor, you must first check whether there is a manufacturer's address on the box, sign a contract and verify the manufacturer. If it is not true, don't buy this product. Imported floors should also have customs import bills and inspection reports, which can be provided by real importers. If not, these goods will be proved to be fakes.

When buying, you should correctly identify the service life of the floor.

Some manufacturers advertise that their laminate flooring can be used for about 20 years. Frankly speaking, this is suspected of inducing people. If this kind of floor is laid under the bed and cabinet, it can really be used for decades without being trampled. If it is a ground that is often trampled, the effect will begin to deteriorate after three to five years.

6. Don't buy plain boards and plastic bayonet floors.

Don't buy a plain board, it's an unpainted floor. The plain board is paved first and then brushed, which looks smooth, but once the floor expands and contracts, cracks will occur. Don't buy a plastic bayonet-mounted floor, because there is a big gap between plastic and wood. The so-called small spring or steel plate for adjusting the expansion and contraction of the buckle has a service life of only one year at room temperature. After a long time, corrosion will occur, making them lose their function, and the floor will arch, loosen and even make a noise.

When buying floors, we should also pay special attention to formaldehyde emission.

People inhale too much formaldehyde, which is easy to cause leukemia. When consumers choose floors, especially composite floors, they must consider the release of formaldehyde. The national mandatory standard for formaldehyde emission is that each liter of air shall not exceed 1.5 mg.

Eight, buy a floor to learn to read the test report.

At present, most of the floor inspection reports on the market are inspection reports, that is, manufacturers send samples to the quality inspection department for inspection, and the quality inspection department is only responsible for the samples submitted for inspection. This kind of report can be easily verified. However, when buying physical objects, you must not be confused by this test report, but should carefully check the paint certificate and glue certificate of the floor, because these two certificates cannot be sent for inspection. As long as there are these two certificates, the floor is generally fine. Some well-known domestic flooring brands will do much better in this respect.
