The full English name of EPS is Electronic Power Steering, which means electronic power steering. It uses the power generated by the motor to assist the driver in power steering. The composition of EPS is basically the same, although the structural components of different cars are different. Generally, it consists of torque (steering) sensor, electronic control unit, motor, reducer, mechanical steering gear and livestock battery power supply.
When a car is running, it is subjected to transverse and longitudinal forces. When the lateral force is too large, the control force is greatly reduced and it is easy to get out of control. ESP has improved this. When the vehicle is unstable, based on the calculation of CPU, the electronic power-assisted system can brake each wheel independently and participate in the management of the engine system to ensure driving safety.
