In recent years, Academician Zhang Yaoming has expanded his research fields to solar lighting, solar thermal power generation, solar tracking and concentrating photovoltaic power generation technology, and photovoltaic photothermal comprehensive utilization technology. He is an advocate and pioneer of solar thermal power generation and concentrated photovoltaic power generation.
