The college has built two provincial-level demonstration majors of applied chemical technology and computer network technology, and seven college-level key majors of mechanical manufacturing and automation. The College adheres to the people-oriented principle, aims at improving the quality of personnel training, is employment-oriented, and takes the service of regional economic development as its own responsibility. It focuses on developing majors such as engineering, management, agronomy and economics, moderately develops majors such as literature, law and education, and strives to promote the intersection of majors and the infiltration of arts and sciences. The college has also continuously strengthened the cooperation between schools and enterprises, reached talent training agreements with more than 50 enterprises such as Keying Group and Blue Ocean Co., Ltd., and vigorously promoted "order-based" education. The teaching system is perfect, the teaching links are standardized, and the teaching management has laws to follow. Cultivating students' practical ability, comprehensive application of knowledge and innovative ability is the basis for the survival and development of vocational schools. The college has increased its investment year by year, and built and improved more than 20 professional laboratories and two on-campus practice bases, including CNC workshop, single-chip computer laboratory, accounting simulation room, graphic design room, drawing room, language lab, simulation laboratory, professional multimedia classroom and network laboratory, equipped with more than 50 million yuan of teaching instruments and equipment, and the basic experiment rate and professional experiment rate reached over 98%. In addition, the college has built more than 130 off-campus experimental training bases, formed a well-structured training platform for talents training inside and outside the school, and set up 32 professional vocational skill appraisal stations and 6 professional industry qualification certificate certification points. From 2003 to 2005, the passing rate of graduates' professional qualification certificates and industry post certificates was above 95%, and reached 100% in 2006. The College also signed agreements with more than 30 enterprises and institutions/kloc-0, and put the internship projects in the workshops and construction sites of factories, which not only enhanced the timeliness of practice, but also narrowed the distance between study and employment. College teachers have published 960 valuable academic papers in various journals at home and abroad, including 17 papers collected by SCI and EI, and 43 papers edited or edited. The college has also undertaken 29 scientific research projects including the national "863" plan. As the key unit of agricultural scientific research in the city, the Academy of Agricultural Sciences has organized and implemented three scientific research projects 13, including three national projects and five provincial and ministerial projects. The application for national invention patent 13 has made outstanding contributions to the large-scale popularization of advanced agricultural science and technology in Dongying city.

In 2004, our college was rated as "excellent" in the employment evaluation of college graduates in Shandong Province organized by the Personnel Department and the Education Department, and was rated as "excellent" in the talent training evaluation of higher vocational colleges in 2005.
