The municipal government has established the following Chengdu Science and Technology Awards to reward units and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the promotion of scientific and technological progress and economic and social development in this Municipality:
(1) Chengdu Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award (hereinafter referred to as the Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award);
(2) Chengdu Science and Technology Progress Award (hereinafter referred to as the Science and Technology Progress Award);
(3) Chengdu Patent Award (hereinafter referred to as the Patent Award).
Municipal government departments no longer set up science and technology awards. Article 3 (Principle of Adjudication)
Science and technology awards adhere to the principles of respecting knowledge, talents and encouraging innovation. Article 4 (Evaluation Principles)
Maintain the authority and seriousness of Chengdu Science and Technology Award. The evaluation and award of the Chengdu Science and Technology Award shall follow the principles of openness, fairness and impartiality, and shall not be illegally interfered by any organization or individual. The municipal administrative department of science and technology is responsible for organizing the evaluation of Chengdu Science and Technology Award. Article 6 (Evaluation Agency)
The establishment of the Municipal Science and Technology Award Committee; The members of the Municipal Science and Technology Awards Committee are proposed by the municipal administrative department of science and technology and reported to the municipal government for approval.
The Municipal Science and Technology Award Committee shall employ experts and scholars in related fields to form an evaluation committee, which shall be responsible for the evaluation of the Chengdu Science and Technology Award in accordance with the provisions of these Measures.
The office of the Municipal Science and Technology Awards Committee is located in the municipal administrative department of science and technology. Article 7 (Rewards from Social Forces)
Encourage social forces to set up science and technology awards in this municipality. The establishment of science and technology awards for the city by social forces shall conform to the relevant provisions of the state on the establishment of science and technology awards by social forces. Chapter II Scope and Grades of Awards Article 8 (Award for Outstanding Contribution to Science and Technology)
City Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award awarded to the following scientific and technical workers:
(a) in the field of high-tech and scientific and technological development has made great creative research achievements, and made outstanding contributions to promoting the scientific and technological progress and economic development of this Municipality;
(two) made outstanding contributions to the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and promote the industrialization of high-tech achievements, resulting in greater economic and social benefits. Article 9 (Science and Technology Progress Award)
Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award awarded to the following units and individuals:
(a) in scientific and technological research, the implementation of high-tech achievements transformation, the completion of major scientific and technological innovation, creating significant economic benefits;
(two) in the social welfare science and technology research, through practice, to create significant social benefits;
(3) The completion of soft science project research has played an important role in promoting scientific decision-making and modernization of management, and promoting the coordinated development of science and technology, economy and society, and has created remarkable social benefits. Article 10 (Patent Award)
The Municipal Patent Award is awarded to units and individuals with strong originality and high technical level in invention patents and utility model patents, which have created remarkable economic or social benefits after implementation. Article 1 1 (reward level)

The municipal science and technology progress award has four grades: grand prize, first prize, second prize and third prize.
City patent award is divided into three grades: gold award, silver award and excellent award. Chapter III Recommendation, Evaluation and Award Article 12 (Term of Award)
City Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award is selected once every two years, and the number of winners each time is no more than 3.
The Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award shall be reviewed once a year, and the total number of award items shall not exceed 100 each year.
The municipal patent award is reviewed once a year, and the total number of award-winning projects each year does not exceed 60. Article 13 (Recommended Unit)
Chengdu science and technology award is recommended by the following units:
(a) the administrative department of science and technology and the administrative department of patent of the district (city) county government;
(2) Relevant departments at the municipal level;
(3) Other relevant units.
Candidates for the Municipal Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award may also be jointly recommended by more than 3 scientific and technical experts in the same industry. Article 14 (recommended materials)
To recommend the Chengdu Science and Technology Award, a recommendation letter with a unified format shall be filled in, authentic and reliable evaluation materials shall be provided, and specific recommendation opinions shall be put forward. Article 15 (Evaluation Rules)
The evaluation rules of Chengdu Science and Technology Award shall be formulated by the municipal administrative department of science and technology. Article 16 (Examination and Announcement)
The review committee shall make a conclusion on the participating scientific and technological projects and candidates, and put forward suggestions on the winning candidates and the types and grades of awards to the Municipal Science and Technology Awards Committee.
The Municipal Science and Technology Awards Committee shall, according to the recommendation of the review committee, make a resolution on the award-winning projects and the types and grades of awards, and make an announcement within the city to solicit objections. The objection period is 30 days. Article 17 (Handling of Objections)
The unit or individual that raises the objection shall submit written objection materials and relevant certification materials with its real name or seal. The Municipal Science and Technology Awards Committee shall handle the objection. Projects that have objections will not be handled and will not be awarded.
