regeneration of molecular sieve
in order to obtain good operating performance and as long as possible life, the sieve must be regenerated after being used for a certain period of time. The correctly regenerated molecular sieve, like fresh molecular sieve, has very low attenuation and aging of adsorption and mechanical properties. There are two basic methods to regenerate molecular sieve:
1) Changing the temperature, that is, "changing the temperature". It removes the adsorbed substances by heating the molecular sieve. In industry, it is usually heated by preheated regenerated gas, and the molecular sieve is purged to about 2, and the desorbed adsorbate is taken away.
2) change the relative pressure, that is, "variable pressure". Generally used in gas phase adsorption process. The basic method is to keep the temperature of the adsorbent constant, and remove the adsorbate by reducing the pressure and blowing back with inert gas.
regeneration is usually carried out in the opposite direction to adsorption, which can make most of the adsorbate contained at the inlet of the adsorption bed not pass through the whole bed, and some molecular sieves do not contact with hot and humid gases, thus improving the service life of molecular sieves. Regenerated gas should be as dry as possible, otherwise the adsorption efficiency will be affected/ppp4.htm.
