The new technology supports the accurate acquisition of undisturbed temperature and pressure characteristic parameters of hydrate samples

The "real-time sampling device for core temperature and pressure of drilling sampler" developed by Beijing Institute of Prospecting Engineering, China Geological Survey recently obtained the national utility model patent authorization.

The device is built in the natural gas hydrate thermal insulation and pressure-maintaining sampler, which can measure and record the temperature and pressure data of the sample in the whole process of thermal insulation and pressure-maintaining drilling. It has the characteristics of high measurement accuracy, low overall power consumption and high integration, and can accurately obtain the original temperature and pressure characteristic parameters of hydrate samples, which can provide reference for the improvement of sampling technology and core test analysis, and also help to improve the accuracy of hydrate resource evaluation and reservoir-forming mechanism analysis.

The device was applied in the South China Sea in June, 20021year. It recorded the temperature and pressure data in the process of drilling sampling in real time, and formed the temperature and pressure change curve, which verified the technical performance. (Deng Dudu Ruan Liu Yi Xie Lu)
