Qiu Xiaoqing’s farce of authenticity

On January 11, 2006, Sichuan Xintek Company filed an arbitration request, accusing West China Hospital of Sichuan University that the invention patent of Qiu Xiaoqing’s “Anti-Staphylococcus aureus polypeptide” transferred to Xintek Company did not exist, and demanded compensation from West China Hospital. 5 million yuan.

On February 5, 2006, the Wuhou District Court of Chengdu accepted Qiu Xiaoqing’s lawsuit and began to hear the case of whether the person who posted on New Thread infringed on Qiu Xiaoqing’s reputation.

On April 17, 2006, Sichuan University held a press conference to announce the experimental verification conclusion of Qiu Xiaoqing's paper: the peptide invented by Qiu Xiaoqing is real.

In August 2007, Qiu Xiaoqing once again published the article "Small antibody mimetic comprising two complementarity-determining regions and a framework region for tumor targeting" in "Nature Biotechnology".

On June 24, 2009, the Chengdu Arbitration Commission made the final ruling: the "Qiu Xiaoqing Patent Transfer Agreement" signed between Xintek Company and West China Hospital was terminated; Xintek Company paid RMB 1 million in patent transfer fees to West China Hospital. Yuan; Xintek Company shall bear the arbitration fees.

On November 9, 2009, the Chengdu Intermediate People's Court made the final judgment: The person who published the article in "New Threads" publicly apologized to Qiu Xiaoqing.

In March 2010, the famous German Springer publishing house will publish the monograph "Antibody Engineering" edited by R. Kontermann & S. Dubel. At the invitation of the editor-in-chief, Qiu Xiaoqing wrote Chapter 21 "CDR-FR peptide" in the book.
