What is a patented product?

A product refers to anything that can be supplied to the market, used and consumed by people, and can meet certain needs of people, including tangible items, intangible services, organizations, concepts or their combinations. What are patented products? Patented products refer to products that have obtained a patent certificate issued by the State Intellectual Property Office and whose patent rights have not expired. It falls within the scope of patent law protection and no one may produce or sell it without authorization and permission. The rights enjoyed include: (1) marking right; (2) licensing right; (3) transfer right; (4) prohibition right; (5) parallel import right.

Invention refers to a new technical solution proposed for a product, method or improvement thereof. Utility model refers to a new technical solution proposed for the shape, structure or combination of a product that is suitable for practical use. Appearance design refers to a new design that is aesthetically pleasing and suitable for industrial application, based on the overall or partial shape, pattern, or combination of the product, as well as the combination of color, shape, and pattern.
