Our institute has undertaken 49 scientific research projects, including 6 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 5 provincial and ministerial level projects. The scientific research project funding has reached more than 3 million yuan. It has published 1 academic monograph and 7 textbooks. He has published more than 280 papers, of which more than 110 have been included in SCI, EI, ISTP, etc. There are currently three main research directions: ethnic minority text information processing, algorithm theory and computational complexity, and computer network and information security.
1. Ethnic minority text information processing
Research features: This research direction brings together experts and scholars in artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, philology and ethnology, computer applications, automation and other disciplines and researchers, have made great achievements in the standardization and digitization of ethnic minority characters, identification of ethnic minority characters, entry of ethnic minority characters, digital protection of ethnic minority documents, and virtual reproduction of ethnic minority civilizations, and have formed their own characteristics and Advantages.
Innovative achievements: Proposed a novel hybrid intelligent optimization algorithm, which can quickly and accurately process text and other information; completed character extraction in complex backgrounds; designed and implemented the Nushu coded character set , Nüshu pinyin input method, Nüshu radical input method and FLASH display system of 300 Nüshu inscriptions (patented); research on printed Yi character recognition technology; Ethnic Language Communication (Yi version) application software (already patented) Obtained software copyright); has established a Nushu platform network for external publicity and promotion.
Next steps: Make breakthroughs in ethnic minority text processing systems that integrate various intelligent simulation methods and extraction of handwritten text under complex backgrounds to solve the problem of informatization of ancient ethnic minority documents and the Cultural protection and other urgent issues need to be resolved.
2. Algorithm theory and computational complexity
Research features: With approximate algorithms and stochastic algorithms for NP-hard problems as the core, computational complexity theory, intelligent simulation algorithms and Comprehensive research in multiple fields such as application and parallel processing, and has achieved a number of domestic and international advanced research results.
Innovative results: For the NP-hard problem bottleneck Steiner tree problem, a random approximation algorithm with an approximate performance ratio of 1.836 is provided in the plane space, which improves the gene shift sorting problem in the field of computational biology. The polynomial time algorithm successfully reduces the time complexity of the original algorithm from O(nlogn) to O(n). He has published more than 80 papers in authoritative domestic and foreign academic journals such as IEEE Transactions on SMC and important international conferences, and more than 30 papers have been included in SCI and EI.
Next step work: Under the guidance of algorithm theory, we hope to further carry out specific application work. There have been relevant research applications in Nüshu recognition to achieve comprehensive development of theory and application.
3. Computer Network and Information Security
Research Features: Closely combine computer network technology with the rapidly growing demand for network applications, focus on researching information security facilities in applications, and have achieved A number of important research results have produced significant economic and social benefits.
Innovative achievements: network management technology based on WEB/CORBA, vector RSA cryptosystem, IPsec implementation based on Netfilter under Linux, project development platform based on collaborative work in PDM, etc.
Next step: It is planned to establish a unified identity recognition authority management platform on the campus network to reduce management overhead. Integrated network management, elliptic curve cryptography theory, digital watermark theory and technology, IP sec-based Virtual private networks and PKI have made breakthroughs in the application of e-commerce and e-government.
