Why are Chinese noodles so different from western noodles?

Noodles are not a patent of China's diet. China and Italy have been at loggerheads over the inventor of noodles for years. It is said that 4000-year-old noodles were unearthed in Qinghai not long ago, which seems to put an end to this controversy.

Noodles are one of the food in China, with a long history and wide distribution. Noodles are easy to cook. According to everyone's taste and local habits, different seasonings can be added to make noodles of various colors, which can be cooked, steamed, fried and mixed. In fact, noodles are a popular food in the world, and many ethnic groups have unique methods of making and cooking. The practice of Chinese noodles alone is more than 10 million. Chinese noodles, one of the cereal foods in China, have a long history and are widely distributed. Noodles are easy to cook, and can be made into salty noodles, sweet noodles, spicy noodles, milk, eggs, tomatoes, cocoa and other colors by adding different seasonings according to everyone's taste and local habits. They can be cooked, steamed, fried, mixed and other cooking methods, so they are very popular with consumers. There are also many local traditional products, such as Longxu Noodles in Fujian, chessboard noodles and hollow noodles in Jiangsu, Wonton Noodles in Daoxiao Noodles in Shanxi and Wonton Noodles in Zhejiang, which have their own characteristics and are well-known throughout the country.

Western noodles generally refer to spaghetti, which is divided into many kinds: thin, thick, flat and small hollow pieces (macaroni).

Westerners basically do not eat noodle soup. The rare noodle soup actually belongs to their appetizing soup before meals. A soup called chicken noodle soup is made of chicken soup. Besides a few noodles, there are carrots, celery, potatoes and adzuki beans.

So westerners' noodles are basically what we call mixed noodles, spaghetti in the macro sense.

There are many ways to make pasta, such as traditional spaghetti with meat sauce (tomato mixed with minced pork or minced beef), seafood spaghetti that is often eaten in Europe (with shrimp and mussels as ingredients and white cream as sauce), and spaghetti or macaroni with cream cheese as the main sauce (it tastes very mellow and heavy, but it may be greasy if eaten too much).

Western food is very particular about how to eat, and noodles can only be eaten with a fork. Insert the fork into the noodles, turn the fork to make the noodles roll on the fork, then put it in your mouth to bite it off and eat it. Westerners should never make a sucking sound when eating noodles, which is very impolite and rude.

The common side dish of western-style noodles may be garlic bread or salad, which is used to dip the remaining sauce on the plate and eat it after the last meal.
