Taking into account the limited level of combinations generally used in manual retrieval, this vocabulary list has appropriately increased the number of phrase-type subject headings when selecting words.
1． Principles of word selection: This vocabulary list selects subject words based on the following basic principles
⑴ The selected subject words are mainly those that frequently appear in literature in various subject areas and have value and certain use in information retrieval. Frequency, noun terms that can be used as topics to collect a certain amount of literature or have the function of combining thesaurus;
⑵ The selected topic words must have concise word forms, clear meanings, and strictly abide by the principle of one word with one meaning, and Concept combinations should be able to express specific topics of literature or user queries;
⑶ The selected subject terms should meet the actual needs of my country's scientific and technological development and be compatible with major domestic and foreign scientific and technological subject terms as much as possible. And attention should be paid to the scientific and ideological nature of the subject headings. 2. Scope of word selection: The subject words included in this vocabulary include the following types:
⑴ Noun terms indicating the names of specific things, such as cars, transformers, reactors, rice, coordinate instruments, etc.;
⑵ Nouns and terms indicating the state or phenomenon of things, such as intensity, distortion, soil maturation, corona, ship overload, etc.;
⑶ Nouns and terms indicating scientific classification, such as mathematics, physics, traditional Chinese medicine, Electronics, construction engineering, water conservancy engineering, etc.;
⑷ Terms indicating research methods and technical methods, such as analysis (chemistry), acupuncture method, finite element method, structural function method, mechanical performance test, etc. ;
