Xiushan Wu's resume

I graduated from the Biology Department of Hunan Normal University with a bachelor's degree in 1976, taught in the Department of Genetics of Hunan Normal University from 1976 to 1985, studied for a doctorate in the Department of Genetics of Stockholm University in Sweden from 1986 to 199, and obtained a doctorate in genetics in 199. From 199 to 1996, I successively worked in the Department of Microbial Genetics of Karolinska Institute in Sweden and the Department of Molecular Biology of Free University in Brussels, Belgium. Department of Biology, University of Michigan, USA and Department of Oncology, Karolinska Institute, Sweden are engaged in postdoctoral research. From 1994 to 2, they worked as scientists and team leaders in Cancer Research Center of Karolinska Institute, Sweden. During fifteen years abroad, he mainly engaged in the research on the genetic control mechanism of heart development, peripheral nervous system development and leukemia.

He returned to China in May p>2, and successively served as distinguished professor of Hunan Normal University, dean of the School of Life Sciences, doctoral supervisor, one of the academic leaders of the Key Laboratory of Chemistry and Developmental Biology of the Ministry of Education in protein, Hunan Normal University, and one of the key laboratories of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the head of the National Life Science and Technology Talent Training Base of Hunan Normal University. The Secretary-General of the Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Hunan Province has established the Molecular Developmental Genetics Laboratory. At present, he is in charge of one Sino-US cooperation project of the National Natural Science Foundation, two general projects, one key scientific and technological research project of the Ministry of Education, one fund for returned overseas students of the Ministry of Education and one fund of distinguished professor, and one pre-973 project and one 863 project of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The funds for research projects are more than 3 million yuan, and the expenses for instruments and equipment are 2.1 million yuan.

At present, there are 24 master students and doctoral students. Each of the first 2-level graduate students has published a research paper in a foreign SCI magazine with an impact factor of 3 as the first author. Progress has been made in the research project: more than 2 mutant strains of Drosophila heart and 1 mutant strains of Drosophila peripheral nervous system have been screened by using P transposon mutagenesis and other technologies, and 5 candidate genes for human heart development have been initially cloned and identified, of which 2 are new human genes. The naming of these genes has been approved by the International Human Gene Nomenclature Committee, and the expression and function of a number of new human genes have been preliminarily studied. 53 papers and 4 books have been published in domestic and foreign magazines (2 are editors). Seven national invention patents have been applied (two of which have obtained patent publication numbers).
