Wuling Hong Guang's pursuit of safety performance is also excellence. The car adopts TUD(TOTAL-USEDDESIGN) design concept to ensure the reasonable structural layout of the whole car. A large number of key parts of its body are made of high-strength steel, accounting for more than 80%; The B-pillar of the car body adopts high-strength steel reinforcing plate, and the side wall forms a solid supporting structure.
Wuling Hong Guang Power Configuration
Wuling Hong Guang is equipped with two engines, P-TEC 1.2L and 1.5L-DVVT, which are designed and manufactured according to GM's global powertrain standards. Both engines are designed with double overhead camshafts, which is rare in small displacement engines. On the premise of ensuring sufficient power, it also shows good fuel economy and greatly reduces the cost of vehicle use.
SAIC-GM-Wuling requested the Lotus Company of England to adjust the suspension of Wuling Hong Guang in order to make the vehicle obtain maneuverability and driving stability and surpass the products with the same price in essence. After a year and a half, after three stages of adjustment, Wuling Hong Guang finally achieved a balance between handling and comfort.
