How about domestic motorcycles and how is their workmanship? Is it better than Japanese ones?

For a long time, Chinese motorcycles have actually introduced other people’s technologies through joint ventures between state-owned enterprises and started to build their own brands, such as Jialing, Jianshe, Wuyang and other old brands. , state-owned enterprises themselves have their own problems and shortcomings. In the process of using the market to introduce technology, foreign brands have firmly grasped the noble image in the minds of consumers and completed the construction of channels. On the contrary, state-owned motorcycle brands are in the market declined.

Although some private brands that emerged in the mid-to-late period invested a lot of money to establish their own sales channels and build their own images through some TV and other media, due to their short time, they have quickly entered the automobile market. As time goes by, motorcycles cannot create a high-end image. They can only sell low-end products and cannot make profits to promote high-end products. There are too many miscellaneous motorcycles in China, and their vitality is quite tenacious. Through price wars, the image of all mid-range private brands has been dragged down. In this way, all domestic motorcycle brands are at the mid- to low-end, and in terms of industrial image, they can only produce "cheap products." Even if there are alternative manufacturers that can develop some high-end products, consumers will not recognize them, and in the end everyone will go to the price. Come up and compete for the market.

Losing the commanding heights of the brand means losing the profits of the industry. Without profits, there is no good product. Therefore, domestic brands are low-end in everyone's eyes.

It is not shameful for domestic motorcycles to be inferior in technology but started as copycats. The Japanese also started from copycats in Europe and the United States. The key is that they can complete industrial upgrading and finally form their own R&D system. , and our domestic brands can basically be said to have failed to upgrade.

For example, most of the motorcycle rider models produced on the market are CG ejector machines. This is a model that Honda has developed and used for decades. Currently, Honda basically does not produce this type of machine. model, we have copied it and are still mainly producing this engine. Most motorcycle factories have no R&D capabilities. Occasionally, some factories have some development capabilities, but because they do not have much capital investment for subsequent testing and promotion, even if they are developed, they are limited to a small circle and cannot be recognized by mainstream consumers.

Domestic factories often follow the trend. Look at what models the three major Japanese brands have launched this year. Then a few of us bought a newly launched motorcycle and went back and dismantled it directly. Division of labor, A imitates A's accessories, B imitates B's accessories, C may adjust a certain size, and finally put it together, it is the so-called new car. As for why other people's models are designed this way, I can't say why. In this way, you will always follow others. After all, you don't understand other people's ideas, and you can't form your own R&D system.

If the skills are not as good as others, they often just make a fuss about their appearance, which costs less. For example, if an engine uses CG on the inside, it may be replaced with a GS cylinder head cover and a YBR side cover on the outside. This makes a nondescript engine and applies for an appearance patent, but there is no essential improvement in the combustion effect of the engine. , such so-called inventions and innovations are no different from deception. Consumers are not fools. If they buy it once, they will not buy it a second time.

Short-sighted

Doing research and development is very tiring, takes a very long time, and requires too much money. Not many bosses have any reason to do such "stupid things", anyway, motorcycles Once the factory is up and running, it is equivalent to "financing" by tricking a bunch of suppliers into supplying goods. You can use the loans to do other businesses. After all, the domestic market is getting smaller and smaller, and there are not many people riding motorcycles. If you have enough money to buy a small car, many places in the country where you want to ride it have banned it. If you don’t ride it, who can guarantee that your product will be ready and someone will buy it? It’s better to make 100 today and put it in your pocket tomorrow. Think about doing something else again.

When assembling, of course, you should consider using the cheapest accessories. As long as it looks similar, can be installed, and the price is comparable to the one next door, it can definitely be sold. Motorcycle assembly is all done by hand. No one is willing to invest money in an automated production line. Smart manufacturing can only be a fantasy. The people we find are paid low wages, so we can save as much as we can. With this mentality, it may be difficult to ensure product quality.

Theoretically, a motorcycle can be ridden for 13 years. Now it has to be re-inspected every 6 years. I believe that not many people can ride it for 6 years. It is often ridden for two or three years and then thrown away without repair. After repair, they are sold directly to the second-hand market, so there are not a few manufacturers who will worry about quality and after-sales issues, and the services are provided by middlemen.

As for the mentality of the middlemen, the brand is not mine. There are so many brands in the market, and consumers like cheap things. If I sell this one today, if this brand fails, I will just sell another brand tomorrow.

In such an atmosphere, making motorcycles is a kind of "speculation". Who wants to consider a century-old brand, and no one wants to do research and development. In the entire industry, not many young people enter. Most of them are maintained by a large group of middle-aged and elderly people. Who knows how many years they can last.
