The service life of the first phase of the company's Elsa furnace has set a world record of the same type of furnace, and at the same time, it has also created a number of the best in the world, making the company's copper smelting technology and equipment and comprehensive technical and economic indicators reach the international advanced level. In 2004, the project "Application and Innovation of Copper Smelting Technology in Elsa" won the first prize of scientific and technological progress in China nonferrous metal industry and the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Yunnan province.

Theoretical research and innovation of traditional electrolysis technology

The electrolytic production of our company adopts traditional electrolytic production technology. After decades of continuous efforts and unremitting exploration by electrolytic production workers, since 1998, the company has organized relevant personnel to tackle key problems in the optimization of copper electrolysis process indicators, making the company's technical work in electrolytic purification, electrolytic additive research, electrolytic process control and other aspects at the advanced level in China. In the process of tackling key problems and technological development, some companies have formed process control methods with proprietary technology. It has made important contributions to stabilize and further improve the quality of high-purity cathode copper for the company. Therefore, in 2003, this technical achievement project won the second prize of technical achievement of China Nonferrous Metals Association and the first prize of practical scientific and technological achievement of Yunnan Province.

Development project of automatic production line for copper anode plate

As a cooperative project of colleges and universities in Yunnan Province, the project was jointly developed by Kunming University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University and Yunnan Copper Co., Ltd., using intelligent electro-hydraulic proportional control technology and components, and completed the research and development of complete sets of production line equipment such as forming machine, milling earphone, conveying manipulator and their supporting tools and control system, organically combining microelectronic technology, sensing technology, detection technology, computer technology and hydraulic components, making the production line compact. The project has passed the acceptance appraisal organized by the Provincial Science and Technology Department and has been put into production. Experts believe that the production line has filled the domestic technical gap, the overall technology is at the leading level in China, and it has completely independent intellectual property rights. Compared with imported equipment, it can save more than 20 million yuan. The technical index of the production line has reached the international advanced level, and it is the first copper anode automatic production line successfully developed and applied in China.

New product development project of catenary conductor in high-speed electrified railway

The main purpose of this project is to research and develop new contact line products for high-speed electrified railways to replace imported products and accelerate the development of electrified railways in China. This project is listed as the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" scientific and technological key project in Yunnan Province. Since 200 1, all kinds of research and experimental development work have been carried out, and finally new products of copper and copper alloy contact wires have been successfully developed. Tested by the testing department of the Ministry of Railways, all the performances meet or exceed the national/industry standards, and are close to the standards of similar products in Europe. The production cost of contact wire is 30% lower than that of the same grade contact wire produced by imported alloy bars, and the cost advantage is obvious. The product has been commercialized.
