Wisdom museum, also known as digital museum in the early days, is a new museum form developed by traditional physical museums on the basis of digital technology. It has gone through four stages: informationization, digitalization, intelligence and knowledge. In a narrow sense, a smart museum is an intelligent system built around the core exhibition business, resource management, administrative management and operation and maintenance guarantee of the museum. Broadly speaking, a smart museum is a complete intelligent ecological chain around museums or museum-related industries, including cultural relics, relics and smart cities.
Why build a wisdom museum?
First of all, traditional physical museums are restricted by various aspects, such as security, protection needs, venue and exhibition capacity. Sometimes, due to the consideration of cultural relics protection, the collections and information they can provide are very limited. Many cultural relics can't be exhibited (such as the Forbidden City, according to relevant data, only about 5% of the total collection is exhibited every year), and no one knows that it has not played its due role. The second is boring. The cultural relics lying in traditional museums are particularly boring. It is very difficult for us and teenagers to understand it and the story and significance behind it. It can be said that we are powerless, unable to start, and it is difficult to arouse the interest of the audience and learners. Also, in terms of resource management, cultural relics are not easy to preserve, and many cultural relics age and disappear with time. Finally, in administrative management, it is easy to form an information island because it cannot proceed from the overall situation and cooperate with the system. It is to solve the above four drawbacks that the Wisdom Museum came into being.
