1. The light bulb was invented by Henry Goebbels in 1854. It uses a carbonized bamboo filament and puts it under a vacuum glass bottle to energize and emit light, which lasts for 400 hours.
2. In 1860, the Englishman Joseph Swan made a carbon filament electric lamp. Due to various technical reasons, it was not until 1878 that he obtained the patent and built his house into a British electric lighting ’s first residence.
3. In 1874, two Canadian electrical technicians applied for a patent for an electric light: filling nitrogen gas under the glass bulb and using an electrified carbon rod to emit light, but they did not have enough financial resources to continue to perfect this invention. Invented and sold the patent to Edison in 1875.
4. In 1878, Edison began to study the light bulb, which was the beginning of a story that was regarded as a classic by later generations. Constantly experimenting, constantly failing, and constantly standing up again is the essence of this story. In 1879, Edison's electric light was successfully developed and could last for 45 hours. In 1880, Edison sent experts and assistants to test more than 6,000 materials and finally discovered that carbon filaments made of bamboo had the longest service life and could last for 1,000 hours. It took many hours before Edison applied for a patent with the U.S. Patent Office.
