Pipe jacking is a kind of construction technology, and pipe jacking is a non-excavation construction method, which is a pipeline burying construction technology with no excavation or less excavation. Pipe jacking construction is to overcome the friction between the pipeline and the surrounding soil with the help of the jacking force generated by the jacking equipment in the working pit, jack the pipeline into the soil according to the design slope, and transport the earthwork away. After the first section of pipe is jacked into the soil layer, lower the second section of pipe to continue jacking. This technology is widely used in trenchless laying of urban underground water supply and drainage pipelines, natural gas and oil pipelines, communication cables and other pipelines in economically developed coastal areas of China. It can span roads, railways, bridges, mountains, rivers, straits and any buildings on the ground. This technology can save a lot of land acquisition and demolition costs, reduce environmental pollution and road congestion, and has remarkable economic and social benefits. Pipe jacking construction is an underground pipeline construction method developed after shield construction. Without excavating the surface layer, it can cross roads, railways, rivers, ground buildings, underground structures and various underground pipelines.
In pipe jacking construction, with the help of the thrust of the main jacking oil cylinder and the inter-pipe relay room, the tool pipe or roadheader is pushed from the working well through the soil layer to the receiving well for hoisting. At the same time, the tool pipe or the pipeline directly behind the roadheader is buried between two wells to realize the construction method of laying underground pipeline without excavation.
