Toyota launches a new pure electric SUV, could it be an electric Corolla with a raised chassis?

To this day, I still remember the scene of Toyota technicians lying under the car studying BYD.

As a traditional brand that got involved in the new energy field earlier, Toyota was not late in getting electric shock, and therefore has made great achievements in non-plug-in models. But if you look closely, you will find that Toyota has not done much research and development of pure electric models. The one we are more familiar with is the C-HR pure electric. This is obviously not in line with the development trend of automobile energy types.

However, this day will not last long. Recently, we discovered the patent drawings and renderings of a pure electric SUV from Toyota.

Judging from the exposed pictures, the design of this new car is very familiar, much like a Corolla with a raised chassis. However, its design is more avant-garde, and the air intake grille also adopts Closed design.

At the same time, the patent drawing of another pure electric medium and large SUV has also been exposed. The overall design is relatively similar to the above-mentioned pure electric SUV. It is reported that these two models will be equipped with battery packs with a capacity of 50kWh-100kWh, and the cruising range may be around 300km-600km. According to Toyota's plan, it will launch 10 pure electric models within five years.
