He conducted in-depth research on the behavior of rare earths and titanium boron during the solidification process of aluminum alloys and achieved excellent results. For the first time in China, the physical model of the titanium-rich zone of salt refiners in the melt was proposed, and the anomalous nucleation theory was developed.

Secondly, the mathematical relationship between the strength limit of rare earth aluminum alloys and the secondary dendrite spacing was established, and the influence of cerium on the aluminum alloy liquid and solidus line was discovered, as well as the new AL3CU4CE phase.

Published more than 20 papers.

His research work has reached international level academically. It has produced positive effects in improving the structure and performance of cast aluminum alloys, and has certain economic and social benefits.
