Brief introduction of patent law treaty
The Patent Law Treaty was adopted at the diplomatic conference held in Geneva in June 2000, as well as the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Patent Law Treaty and the agreed statement of the diplomatic conference. 130 More than 30 countries, 4 intergovernmental international organizations and more than 20 non-governmental international organizations attended the meeting. According to the provisions of the Patent Law Treaty, the Treaty will come into force three months after 10 countries deposit their instruments of ratification or accession with the Director-General. On June 28th, 2005, Romania became the 10 country to submit its instrument of accession to the Patent Law Treaty to the World Intellectual Property Organization. To this end, the Patent Law Treaty came into force on April 28th, 2005.
