The original idea of ??the IC card was proposed by the Japanese. In December 1969, Mr. Kunitaka Arimura of Japan proposed a method of manufacturing a safe and reliable credit card, which was patented in 1970. It was called ID card (Identification Card) at that time. In 1974, Roland Murilla of France invented a plastic card with an integrated circuit chip, which was an early IC card and obtained a patent, but it had not yet been put into practical use. In 1983, this invention attracted the attention of the French government, which promoted the practical use of IC cards.
