1, supercomputer
Shenwei Blu-ray, China made the first supercomputer based on domestic microprocessor. This computer named "Shenwei Blu-ray" was installed in Jinan Center of Shandong National Supercomputing on September 12.
Shenwei system can perform about 1 trillion operations per second, and it is likely to rank among the top 20 computers in the world. More importantly, the 8700 Shenwei 1600 microprocessor used in this system is designed by a domestic computer research institute and made in Shanghai.
2. Synthetic protein
Starting from 1958, Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Peking University Department of Chemistry started to explore the chemical synthesis of insulin on the basis of previous studies on insulin structure and peptide chain synthesis methods.
The total synthesis of crystalline bovine insulin was completed on September 1965. After strict identification, its structure, biological activity, physical and chemical properties and crystal morphology are completely the same as those of natural bovine insulin. This is the first man-made protein in the world.
3. Laser
In laser technology, the first laser in China was successfully developed in 196 1. In the 1980s, Huazhong University of Science and Technology established the first State Key Laboratory of Laser Technology in China, and in the early 1990s, the first National Engineering Research Center of Laser Processing was established.
Scientists in China began to study deep ultraviolet nonlinear optical crystals and laser technology in the early 1990s. After more than 20 years' efforts, China has become the only country in the world to master deep ultraviolet all-solid-state laser technology.
4. Manned space technology
On June 5th, 2003, China's first manned spacecraft, Shenzhou 5, was successfully launched. Yang Liwei, the first astronaut in China, became the first China tourist in the vast space.
Shenzhou 5's 2 1 hour 23-minute space trip marks that China has become the third country in the world to independently carry out manned space activities after Russia and the United States.
5. Indica hybrid rice
From 65438 to 0973, Yuan Longping, a rice expert, cultivated "indica hybrid rice", which increased the yield per mu by more than 20% compared with ordinary rice, and was called "Oriental magic rice". Yuan Longping won the "National Highest Science and Technology Award" in China.
