What fees are required for patent transfer?

Patent transfer requires a fee for changing the description. Patent transfer is an act of changing the patentee and falls within the scope of change of description matters. The fee for change of description matters prescribed by the price management department and the finance department of the State Council in conjunction with the patent administration department of the State Council must be paid in accordance with the law.

Article 93 of the "Implementing Rules for the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China"

Apply and handle patent applications to the Patent Administration Department of the State Council For other procedures, the following fees should be paid:

(1) Application fee, application surcharge, publication printing fee, priority claim fee;

(2) Substantive examination of invention patent application Fees and reexamination fees;

(3) Patent registration fees, announcement printing fees, and annual fees;

(4) Rights restoration request fees and deadline extension request fees;

(5) Fees for changes in descriptions, fees for requesting patent evaluation reports, and fees for requesting invalidation.

The payment standards for the various fees listed in the preceding paragraph shall be stipulated by the price management department and the financial department of the State Council in conjunction with the patent administration department of the State Council.
