1, cutting.
Before the appearance of large-size wall tiles, there was a patent for large-size tile sticking to the wall. The biggest difference between floor tiles and wall tiles is that floor tiles have lower water absorption, higher density and more wear resistance, but the construction is more difficult.
The common method for sticking floor tiles on the wall is cutting: the floor tiles are generally 800mm×800mm in size, and a knife is cut in the middle to become 400mm×800mm in size. In this way, the self-weight of a single tile is small, and the difficulty of paving is naturally low.
2. Take a nap.
The large-size ceramic tile wall itself is crumbling, and it is even worse if the wall is smooth. Therefore, on some smooth walls, it is necessary to roughen them to increase the friction of the walls.
Painting the wall is to use cement to make a concave and convex feeling on the wall. There are many methods, and the most common one is the roller: the roller that is painted with latex paint, dipped in cement and brushed on the wall. In addition, it is also possible to throw the broom on the wall, first smooth it on the wall and then scrape the dent with a scraper.
3. Ceramic tile adhesive.
Why do wall tiles fall off? Because it's not sticky! Since the viscosity of cement mortar is not enough, we will add some more sticky things to strengthen the fixation of tile back glue, which is a kind of glue and can accomplish this goal.
Ceramic tile back glue is liquid glue, which can be directly brushed on the back of ceramic tile when used. After brushing the back glue, cover it with cement mortar. It should be noted that in order to give full play to the role of adhesive, the thickness of cement mortar should not exceed 7 mm.
4, tile glue.
There is only one word difference between the glue on the back of the tile and the glue on the back of the tile, but it is completely different. Tile glue is a thin layer of glue, and cement mortar is still needed as usual. But when using tile glue, cement mortar can be completely eliminated.
Tile glue can be understood as a mixture of glue and cement sand: when used, it is mixed with water to form a paste and applied to the back and wall of tile respectively. Then use a serrated scraper to scrape grooves perpendicular to each other on the back and wall of the tile to increase friction.
5. The pendant is fixed.
Tiles always fall off, so simply put a hook on them: the method of fixing pendants is a bit like hanging decorative paintings. Install two hooks on the back of the tile to help fix the tile.
The method is to first open two small grooves on the back of the ceramic tile, the depth of which is 3mm to 5 mm, put the hook into the groove and glue it with marble. The hook is stuck on the tile.
