A method for preparing natural bentonite sewage treatment material includes the steps of sodium ion replacement of bentonite and adsorption of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide, and is characterized in that after the sodium ion replacement of natural bentonite, the following steps are added before adsorption of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide: uniformly mixing crystalline aluminum chloride solution and sodium bentonite according to the ratio of1:2-4w/w, oscillating10-36 hours, and centrifuging. Add 12% ~ 16% pore-forming agent into bentonite to make granules, and bake 1 ~ 5h in muffle furnace at 450℃ ~ 600℃. The bentonite prepared by the invention greatly improves the sewage treatment capacity and is easy to be separated from water.
