When did China first invent stamps?

China stamps were first issued in 1878.

Stamps are postage certificates issued by postal authorities for posting mail. Stamps are proof that the sender of the mail has paid the postal service fee. The sender sticks a stamp on the letter, and then the post office sticks a stamp for sale, which proves that the sender has paid the fee before sending the mail. The issuance of stamps is managed by a country or region and is a symbol of the sovereignty of a country or region. The square space of stamps often reflects the history, science and technology, economy, culture, customs and natural features of a country or region, which makes stamps have collection value in addition to postal value. Stamps are also an important source of financial resources in some countries or regions.

1878, the customs post office issued Dalong stamps, which is the first set of official stamps in China. It was designed by people in China. One silver, three silver, five silver. A penny of silver is one hundredth of a penny or two. Copper plate carving, issued three times.

The first issue was released in July 1878. Use translucent white paper. The distance between two adjacent tickets is 2,5mm, which is called "tissue paper dragon".

The second issue issued by 1882 has the same paper as the first issue, but the distance between the two tickets is expanded to 4,5 mm. It is called "broadside dragon"

The third issue, 1883, was issued, and the paper was thicker than the previous two issues. Due to the corrosion of the printing plate, the clarity of stamps is not as good as that of the previous two issues. It is called "Thick Paper Dragon".
